Thank you for your insightful talks. You remind me of my late father, who was a wise man. He seldom made up his mind solely on first impression. I remember taking a young man home for coffee (I was a teenager and very smitten with this young boy). I valued Dad's opinion even as a stubborn teen. When I asked him what he thought of this youngster, his reply was: "I do not know him, yet." Dad was careful about rash face value opinion. He also had a walking stick and whenever we went for a walk in the seemingly arid African veld, he would point out and name the tiniest plants. He was a keen observer. I later became a microbiologist. 😊

i remember when i was a kid in grade school i noticed that there were certain other kids who were centered and insightful in a manner that was so far out in front of the rest of us. it was as though all that most of us spend our lives struggling to learn was given to them at birth. i have magnified my own struggles by having made so many, many bad decisions. but i also remember back to when as an infant -- before i could speak and supposedly think -- i knew that i've always existed. and now i realize in my old age that i'm due for a return trip to earth to try getting it right the next time, maybe. thank you, rabbi.

This was one of the most amazing things I have ever heard. Maybe it came at the right time. I’m sure it did. Also, as Immanuel Kant said, things only have meaning insofar as they relate to knowledge already possessed. So I am trying to be transparent in my assessment without seeming self-centered. I understand that this video, actually this LIFE has meanings on different levels for different people. Which is why we should have compassion for each other as a foundation of our regard for each other. For everything that lives on the earth and above. Or under the oceans. Thank you so much 🙏🏻❤️‍🔥

Whatever Rabbi is saying, Hindus call it 'MAYA'. The literal meaning of the word 'Maya'is: Something that doesn't exist'. It doesn't mean that things don't actually exist. It is the meaning we attach to the worldly phenomenon. Different people attach different meaning to the same thing or event.

One of my spiritual exercises in frustrating situations (others behaving "badly") is to imagine several varied scenarios that would explain their behavior and stir up my sympathetic reaction. After a while I am able to simply know that if I only knew "insert underlying story" then I could empathize and forgive... With enough of this exercise, I can forgive without knowing...but just knowing that there is a reason/story that explains.

It was not the political it was the grief. I contacted both of them privately to let them know about the other. But it did not seem to matter. That was the day I got off Facebook. Shalom Shalom and howdy second day of the howdy how Mr. Simon J and listeners. Dear Simon, most people do not want to hear the truth, for the truth is the most frightening weapon of all. My LORD did not come to bring peace but a SWORD, the SWORD is simply the TRUTH and the TRUTH will bring divisions, as it MUST! I believe most could not handle having true superman vision. The visions I received on the microscopic level somewhat scarred me but also served and still do serve as a blessing; it is a definite reminder for me. We must all be very careful of what we pray for, because we may receive that and EVERYTHING which accompanies that. I believe, to literally see everything would terrify us. How about this.. LORD, please allow us all to become the very best we each can become and allow us to see exactly what we need to see, in order to grow in you and in the HOLY (non roman) FATHER! Time is but a ladder to grow, so may we all grow. I love you all

@Anita A The Jewish people are indeed the chosen people of God. But what are they chosen for? Jared Kushner said Black people are lazy, and he didn't know what is wrong with them. Jewish people became arrogant for this very reason, being chosen. That's what they told me. And they paid and are still paying the price. Perhaps Kushner is chosen for the slaughter.

Rabbi, thank you for this. This is require a lot of thinking over and a lot of practice. Culture nowadays seems to downplay the role of senses in life. With the rise of AI as well as the editing capabilities of photos and videos, the sense of sight is under assault to the point no one can trust what they see and, if they do, it is possible for them to be tricked, duped and overall disappointed. I greatly appreciate your discussions. In many of them your examples and stories provide many different layers that are reminiscent of the powerful use of parables. Your channel is one of my first go-to channels when I go onto RU-vid.

I enjoy listening to your videos. I think that when you were saying English is a descriptive language and then go on to say Hebrew is different because the words can have many meanings, you are under appreciating the complexity of the English language. I often read, listen, or watch dialog in the English language where the speaker is saying multiple things all at the same time with the same words. Decrypting multiple messages from the same dialog is one of my favorite activities. Just listen to any politician, and they are usually trying to say two or three things at the same time to different audiences. I have listened to songs with five competing messages that tell the writers complex and sometimes conflicting truths. I think a lot of French, Greek, Roman and other literature also has many meanings inbeded in the text. Read the Bible and even though it has been translated to English, you can still unpack huge amounts of incredible insight , where you can learn a basic truth from reading a passage, then when you have more insight, you learn a greater truth, then with more thought and meditation you can learn a more profound truth. Then you look at the same text again later, and you realize there is an incredibly fundamental truth that is more important than all the hidden messages That fundamental truth is completely missed by many preachers, priests, and some rabbis as well. And so we focus on religious dogma instead of accomplishing our true task, which transcends religion. And for the most part we are clueless and lost. Back to the topic, a good writer can tell two stories at the same time with the same words. A great writer can tell three stories at the same time with the same words. A legendary writer can tell four or six stories at the same time, and everyone understands the message they are meant to hear. This works in English as well as any language the author cares to use. A harder language to understand all possible meanings of is computer programming. In computer programming, each word has a set meaning and set parameters, but you can use it any way you want as long as it is a valid command. In computer programming with some programmers, you will have little to no understanding of what the program does without examining every single word and how that word interacts with every piece of data and every other word in the program. Essentially, in computer programming, a group of words have infinite veriety of possibilities depending on how they are used.

Rabbi Simon.... After the passing on my mother....my little brother who is 39 had a mental problem... He had leukaemia as a baby and the radiation damaged his brain... At 13 he developed epilepsy...and because of his damaged brain it's uncontrollable... Mum died in Jan 2021 of lung disease aged 70 and he is under the impression I did it....and I am actively drugging him to make him want to end his life. I love my brother and the evil energy and noise has led to numerous encounters with the law.. He is due to go on anti psychotic medication which may help....but it's been 2 year's of being in he'll. I'm the only thing he has but he hates me so much...sorry for the long message.. I understand that this is not a perfect situation bit he is a damaged soul... Is it possible for him to damage me with negativity when I know he needs some kind of guidance.🙏
