I've also been using the wrong Graphic for games and I thought my laptop had some thermal and battery issues.Fortunately,my friend noticed that and told me to switch the graphic from display setting.I'm glad u added that topic to the tips because that'll be helpful for new users like me who've been doing heavy load tasks with Intel Graphic without knowing.
yeah, but you can activate the boost when turn on Turbo Mode, otherwise your cpu ll ve running at 4000mhz with temperatures that circle around 95c for nothing
for the laptop cooler, id say for anyone looking to buy one. check your thermals and weather your laptop is thermal throttling. if it's getting too hot 90-100c. get a laptop stand or cooler. if you want a guaranteed cooler, spend on a quality one like the IETS GT500, many reviews and it drops your temps by 5-15c. but generally, i think if you want to improve how long you'll be able to use your laptop, i'd say get one and just use it to keep your laptop cool at all times because heat can effect the laptop's shelf life. great video so far! all great tips.
you don't need a cooler; if your laptop is overheating chances are that its a hardware issue or dust/faultyfan or thermal paste ran dry. a cooler is putting a band aid over a severed limb.
@@AedanBlackheart Its not a fault, its the nature of owning a laptop. That's why laptop coolers exist.. No matter what gaming laptop you have the CPU and GPU will be throttled or undervolted to help manage heat. You can't expect a 1 inch thick laptop (no matter the brand) to adequately cool a high end cpu and gpu. Adding anything to help with the cooling (including a laptop cooler) will help keep it from reaching the throttle threshold.
I have to say its the best and worst laptop ever , too many cons but too many pros , mine is just 3 months old and it has alot fo problems but its a beast
I own a ROG Strix g16 RTX 4060 with i7-13650HX. The stock model was 16GB ram with 1TB storage. I decided to add another 2TB m.2 ssd storage and replaced the 16GB to 32GB ram and it was worth it
i have been use the same model as you for 4 month now, the first tip help me reduce the temp for my CPU from 90-95 down to70-80, thanks you so much man
i have the i5 11400h rtx 3060 version of this laptop, I just want to ask you what's the maximum storage and ram of my laptop's version. thanks for the tips btw!
I have in overwatch 2 lobby 77 degrees and in game i have 87 and in valorant i have 100-180 fps i had much more fps, in every game i have 87 degrees even in Roblox
*salivating* That laptop looks so freaking cool. But I want to get that for my birthday next year which isn’t too long after Christmas. I’ll be saving up money to get one of those.
@@Slimiz I did as a matter of fact. I saved up the money I got for Christmas, work and from the government. My bro and I helped each other out towards our goals. I went with my laptop first as that was obviously more expensive. It was probably the most expensive purchase I ever made in my entire online shopping history and on Amazon in general where I picked it up. It was those demo units I saw at Best Buy and London Drugs which piqued my interest during holiday shopping. My laptop then came 5 days after my birthday (6 after the day of purchase, call it a late birthday gift if you will) while I was sick and I’ve been using it regularly for emulation/retro gaming and Steam gaming (but my PS5 remains my main gaming machine) as well as Doujin games and loving it. Awesome design and excellent build quality. After that, I helped my bro save up to get his new iPhone. It was only fair that I returned the favour. It wasn’t a brand new iPhone as that was more expensive. He wanted to save money by getting a used one off of Best Buy’s online store. His came at the end of the month. But now he’s saving up money to get himself a new laptop which won’t be the same as mine.
almost all asus tuf laptops came with a cheap wifi card that will randomly disconnects at anytime. you can buy a new one and replace it or go LAN and don't use wifi
Fortunately, thermals are still fine and doesn’t need thermal paste replacement yet. I would suggest Arctic or Thermal Grizzly, deepcool would also do!
I bought my laptop a few weeks ago and sometimes the FPS drops very low and I keep having to take out the plug and Replugging it over and over again. Is there a way to fix this?
Actually that’s gonna be one of my next video, increasing battery life! I suggest you to get the 90wh and wait for my guide, i’ll include everything there! 👍🏻
I had to find out the hard way, that you can activate 'ultimate' mode, that newer models have, which basically activates the dGPU at all times, by using a display port to usb c adapter. Asus made it really weird, the HDMI port does not connect to the dGPU, which means it goes through the iGPU first, and bottlenecks in the process. plugging the usb c port for your external monitor, you bypass optimus and activate the dGPU, gain more FPS and gain access to the nvidia control panel 'display' tab.
just wanted to say i love u man u helped me out so much with the first step before i was reaching 87c with 95c spikes i even replaced the thermal paste and got the same thing but i did the first step and put it to 99 now my cpu run at the 65-75 range. if u are ever depressed or feel unwanted just know that i love u and u helped me out big time.
When I use it on battery in standard GPU mode it lags much and popping up of window panel is not smooth. But when I change it to optimised GPU mode it all uses Integrated graphics card and works fine on battery. Am I using my laptop correctly😢.
That's how it works but here could be some few things that might be happening: 1. The refresh rate on your battery mode + standard is 144hz and it could be laggy due to your system issues (but this shouldn't be the case because i've tried this as well and works perfectly smooth, only problem is the faster drain battery life) 2. You're using only 8gb of RAM
If I upgrade my ram to 16gb then could I overcome this issue. Also I can't even play cod warzone along with discord, because when I minimize the game to correct the mic in discord there's so much lag. I really need your advice friend.
Also make a clean install of windows 11 or 10 using uupdump with only one edition(in my case home)to reduce the size of the iso file and then debloat it. Close as many programs you want from start-up to reduce unnecessary ram usage. And also make sure that Microsoft edge is not running on the background if you use a different browser. That's some tips from me to have a much better performance.
Undervolting is great for thermals too. Personally I freak out when either the cpu or gpu goes above 80 degrees. I was even having thermal throtling whith certain games (gpu throttles at 87° and cpu at 90°) but after undervolting I rarerly go above 85. I am almost all the time between 70 and 80 in both gpu and cpu (and I don't use cooler, just a regular stand made with two books pilled up 😅). And it is really good for thr laptop longevity too. So I do recommend unvervolting, 100%
Yes definitely would help for the long run! Will do as well on mine if it gets worse close on 2 year mark, your comment would be helpful to others planning to undervolt their laptops! 👍
@@OptimusRinus decrease graphics settings remove all apps running in background u could see in taskbar and delete temp files this will drastically increase performance
I just ordered this notebook (rtx 4600, i7-12700H version) on black friday. Your videos helped me a lot to decide for this one and when this notebook arrived, I'll be using your tips to turn it into a beast :) TY!
I have this laptop with a RTX3060 and an i5 11 th and it perfoms really bad, I mean, in fornite with 900 p of resolution and the mobile graphics I have only 140 unestable fps, being the most time of the game like 90 fps and micro freezings, I dont recomend this laptop.
@@leroyjenkins1911 Bro i play competitive, and 90 Fps is unplayable. 90 Fps with mobile graphics, do you know what is that? I mean, if you play in an iPhone 13 It perfoms better.
If you're on to gaming, this is probably one of the best choice equivalent to money, but if battery life matters more and you don't game that much, probably check out others first or get Macbook despite kind of pricey.
I personally own an ASUS TUF F17. For me, To switch GPUs you'd open Armoury Crate and then go to Home, You should find something called GPU Mode, Change it to ultimate.
Thanks but that's a misconception that many people are mistaken. 16gb + 8gb RAM on laptop still runs on dual channel mode, there's no issue with that as long as both ram sticks has the same speed, latency, data rates and etc. The cpu will only follow/match whoever has slower speed between the modules.
I have F 15 2050 it runs games well . But when i unplug the charger my laptop run very laggy. How do i fix this isssue. I dont want it to keep pluged all the time.
it's a gaming laptop. it's literally made to be plugged in all the time. the moment you disconnect it it becomes a 2014 cheap laptop. gpu will be disabled and refresh rate will go down 60hz
How is the battery when you watch RU-vid or do tasks like coding unplugged? Also do you use it for college work ? Basically I'm wondering how it lasts unplugged? Battery saved and all the settings to help it save battery?
my asus tuf f15 lag little bit on using it in battery so i changed gpu settings to optimized then it is running smoothly can anyone suggest me another solution? please tell me about optimized mode of gpu in armory create please😶😶 it is rtx2050 with 16gb ram and 48watt hrs. battery
Thank God we have the same laptop , i followed every instructions you give but only thing i cant do right now is buying ram and storage hehe i don't have money for now and i think next week ill buy cooler and stand 😊 thank you for your amazing video!!
@@hermezxyes! I just bought ram and it was terrifying installing it but now i have 16gb and games run so much better! I was running 20 fps on big cities in rdr2, now i run 60 fps!
I have the same laptop as yours, and i have decreased my maximum cpu usage to 60%, and it doesn't affect the performance of the games i play by a noticeable amount but keeps the temperature around 70-80degrees. Is it safe tho?
Any would do, the elevation stand is more important! Laptop cooler is secondary priority as this laptop already has good airflow (this specific model that has good backplate design)
Yes totally would make a difference especially on editing, rendering, exporting, multitasking and so on. Mine’s 24gb and it’s insanely good and im satisfied already.
I dont know why is nobody talking about undervolting your laptop... if you really wanna be a heavy gamer on a laptop its almost necessary to undervolt your GPU and CPU to avoid thermal throttling- that doesn´t necessary mean that you will have lower performance, its actually the opposite... If you find the stable and proper power curve for your GPU and CPU, it runs cooler and in most cases it has actually same or even slightly better performance because it doesn´t thermal throttle :) Tried it by myself on my Acer Nitro 5 and results are amazing. My GPU went from maximum 76 degrees to 66 degrees while having the same performance and CPU went from 95 degrees spikes to maximum of 80 degrees while under 100% load and if I am just playing games, CPU is hovering between 70 to 75 degrees with Undervolt (yes probably CPU speed is little bit lower because of lowered maximum turbo boost but it doesn´t affect gaming performance you won´t notice in games). Its amazing what it can do :) Anybody should try that with any laptop.
Did you have problems with MediaTek WiFi 6 network adapter? My ASUS tuf F15 is facing this problem, every time i turn it on for some reason the wifi icon is gone and mediatek is not working properly.
Don’t worry it’s not the laptops fault it’s the windows 11 fault I had same problem and after changing a setting it’s not happening again. Give me some time I’ll say you the solution!!!! This video helped me solve the problem --ru-vid.combPpIoynsZJc?si=L6nxmzBzNSq_AMF7
Dame laptop and my wifi icon disappears everytime i turn it on, so i have to spend 1-2 hours rebooting, installing, uninstalling the wifi, until its back to normal

Question. Suppose most these advice is directed towards gaming. If you want it to be able to handle music production, heavy plugins etc better is there some ways to pull that?
I don't know what is happening with my laptop, screen turns off automatically while using lot of times a day, sleep mode is ok, its not even 2 month of buying, please help.
Use the G-Helper instead of the Armoury Crate Buddy! The G-Helper is far more optimized and well programmed for the asus laptops. I bet you will not turn back to the asus armoury crate after usig the g-helper. There is no need to change the powerplans or the settings. It is the armoury crate which makes the laptop work like a sloth
Bro I purchased this laptop today and after setting up with all the updates my laptop was stuck in the boot loop and was getting into trouble. It was turning on for a while and then again automatically it got shut down. To fix this I thought of resetting the laptop but while resetting my PC was connected to charging but while factory resetting it again shut down. On the other hand bluetooth was not connecting properly and initially I faced multiple errors while connecting to my wifi. I was not all expecting this. This was very horrifying for me. I am very disappointed.😔😔
can you give me the best ddr4 ram 3200mhz for my tyf a15 and can you make a video on this a15 laptop which has ryzen 4600h cpu and gtx 1650 graphic card with best settings
Probably Kingston or Samsung! Lexar is also fine and others brand as well, much better if you can match what's been given to your system already! Will do one in the future for 2024 laptops!
Yes, but to give you the exact performance on warzone and other games, i have a video on that, ASUS TUF F15 Ultimate Gaming Test: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v5QWqw4Lhbo.html you can check that out for exact benchmarks of FPS and thermals!
Thank you for posting this video, I watched it and applied it and now my stock Asus TUF F15 gaming laptop is truly running like a beast. Seems like it's supercharged now with all these tweaks. Keep up the good work!
Brother while plugged in I get 144hz but when unplugged why do the hertz drop to 60 . Can't I get 144hz when unplugged. How to correct that. I have a Asus tuf f15
Yes bro, that's how it works but this is totally adjustable! Go to Settings > Display > Advanced Display and adjust it to 144hz while on battery mode, but note that it will drain some battery life!
Question. My friend told me that my gpu is in bad condition etc. He said that i've been using my gpu so bad that it's in the bad shape as of now and there's a discoloration etc, where i only used it on a 3 game applications and i don't play that much and mostly browsing the net. I wonder does the nvidia gpu in a laptop is really that easy to be broken? Is there a way how to check your gpu's health or what may really the cause of gpu being cooked or broken? This worries me because my laptop might die on me and i can't afford to buy a new one haha. Answering my stupid question is highly appreciated thanks ❤️ (Asus Tuf f15 2021 model with rtx 3050ti)
Nope, that shouldn't be the case. I think the best way you can do is check out on performance first whether there's already changes or not. Mine's already going 1 year and 7 months but still working fine, no physical damages beyond the backplate and other parts. Much better if you can go to service center for repair especially if there's some black marks or rust on some panel or burn smells on your GPU, that's indeed a problem! Still wondering as well how it end up like that? 2021 version has a great designed airflow and can handle 90+ even on long term usage just like mine.
When I go to first step. I do not have "Recommended by ASUS". Only Balanced and Silent is Present-when it's unplugged. When I Plugged it in and make it Turbo Mode, it says "your power plan information isn't available". Please help mee Ps. I have the same unit as you!
Not really sure about the exact numbers, but this video indeed would help you on aspects around performance and temperature, so yes with little bit of restraint on settings and resolutions.
Yeah, I want to upgrade the RAM And additionally I got my family harddrive. I want to install the HDD in that F15, but inside the HDD SATA Flex connector is missing. How can i get the flex cable. Another problem is, I m at Warranty period. Can I get any help for Upgrading from ASUS ?
@@mwolf7780 if you haven't got the flex connector, then you can't add a drive. You might be able to buy one 2nd hand but I doubt it. Just add a 2nd nvme drive as then you don't need the ribbon connector
@@BenofRU-vid but now my financial condition is 📉. Thats why i m using hdd. And i know its slow as hell. But ( just accept the situation and move on) 😪
I to have the same laptop, I have an issue in this lap that its bluetooth and wifi is often getting disabled and i think that there was a problem in those adapter. will pls upload a video on this to solve my problem. please
i have asus tuf f17 rtx 3050ti while playing game like RDR2 my gpu temperature hits 87C, its normal or i worry about it..mostly playing table not cooling pad....plz help bro
My laptop used to be normal and no force closed on game but now its always suddenly forced closed on game that alredy meet the requirement and its only been 1 year
Yeah man, i was quite disappointed about the tuf f15, until i figured out that you need to use the usb c port. ASUS really messed up on their part. you gain full perfomance only by using a monitor with display port to usb c adapter (this is important).
Hi, i uploaded a guide few days ago that could help you! -> Increase battery life of your laptop (ft asus tuf f15): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e7vlwjctrEA.html

I need help to optimize to play Squad , arma3 is perfect but squad i need help fir settings i have the f15 as well and its good for Arma , ready or not , escape from tarkov .. its just squad im having trouble with
Hello Hermez, I'm thinking about buying a new laptop and I don't know if I should buy this version of the Asus TUF 15 (2021) i7-11800H 2.3 GHz (24MB Cache, up to 5.6 GHz, 8 coress: 16 threads), RTX™ 3050Ti 4GB GDDR6, 16 GB RAM DDR4 OR the Gigabyte G5 (2023) i5-12500H 12-Core, 3.30 GHz up to 4.50 GHz, 18 MB Cache, RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6, 16GB DDR4 RAM. What do you think? I love Asus and its design, but it's already a 2021 PC with an 11th generation processor, however I've seen reviews at gigabyte and they say it has shitty build quality and a bad display. The 2 laptops are at 800€ in my country (Portugal). Thank you for your help!
Yeah, that 800 euros for Gigabyte is tempting and there's gonna be some consequence for that, 11th gen are still fine man, not outdated at all, still on the phase, the only biggest leap on CPU Tech is Apple jumping from intel to their own M1 Chips, mine's i5-11th gen as well and as you see on these videos, performance is really good, if you will be going for that ASUS TUF, that's totally worth it, it's gonna be better than this one in this video, plus if you're gonna spend another 150~200 euros, you can definitely upgrade it to 32gb and 512~1TB M.2 NVME SSD, the only thing that you really need to watch out for is to make sure you're getting the 90wh, not this 48h like mine, nothing's wrong with it, 3hrs+ battery life is fine, but much worth it if you have any chance on acquiring 90wh!
Hi, to fully answer all of that questions, its best to watch my other video which is the ULTIMATE GAMING PERFORMANCE TEST of ASUS TUF F15! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v5QWqw4Lhbo.html and additional things more can be found there as well other games! 😀
Brother i here and thankful to u very much i was very depressed my laptop can't even run last of us i followed ur video update my drivers seriously on high settings last of us 60 fps 😹 and gta 5 120 plus fps i m very 😊 happy
because you have no process running that requires dGPU + this guy messed up his video. he said turn FPS on gamevisual on. It is just a filter for First Person Shooters... and you need an external monitor with a display port to usb c adapter to gain full perfomance as the hdmi port and the monitor are connected to the iGPU which bottlenecks in the process
