I have just finished shaping wood for a handle insert and I wasn’t sure what the next step should be. I left the wood on the lathe and searched for advice on RU-vid. What a wonderful piece of luck to find your instructions! I have one question please - when you pushed the insert into the handle using the tailstock, it sounded like a motor running but the lathe didn’t turn. Did you just press it in by hand? Thank you from a fellow turner in southeastern USA.

Excellent recommendation, do you know whether the measurements for the collets are EU or US sizings? I would like to make my own handles, so much more personal.

Nice work Will, apart from the ability to make custom size handles for your hands, it is nice to pick up and use a tool in a handle you have made. When I designed them I added the 0.2mm to make it into a "press fit" in a 20mm hole. next one make the hole 6" that gives you adjustability of the tool length out of the holder.
