So we dont have a gaming PC, but we do have a Steam Deck. So with a Steam Deck dock can we get a good gaming experience when plugging a controller in and using an external monitor. what a great addition to my steam deck. being able to connect it to my monitor, keyboard and controller is awesome. Now I kinda have a gaming PC. At least enough for me. I bought the same one, I had my doubts but your video convinced me. You can definitely achieve the same results with a cheap 7$ dongle but it's awkward to have it laying around the desk

I wish USB SSD drives were simply plug and play for the deck. Takes some formatting and commands to be able to get it to read and write from the drive. Also have to go into desktop mode every time and enable it in storage options. Hopefully Valve fixes this and adds better support for external drives in a future update. They work, but it’s a tedious effort. Also, if you move a game from the external drive to the internal drive, the game will crash unless you first locate the old compat data in the deck folders and delete them before launching them on the new drive.

thats for letting me know. That should be something that they add for sure. would make the steam deck even better than it already is.
