I can see you are a very competent turner but remember that some new or younger turners might be watching and might be copying you moving the tool rest while still moving and could be very dangerous, please don't think I am being critical because I'm not it's just keep the newcomers safe and not make errors. i have an idea for ya, take 3 different scrap wood types and glue press them together. They will obviously be different colors. Then turn it. See what happens.
