We're continuing Project Jigsaw this week! This week we get further into lengthening the wheel base and relocating the strut towers! We had to fabricate many parts from scratch which we cut out with our Arcdroid CNC Plasma Cutter. We encountered plenty of challenges along the way, but handled them with ease! Come along as Tony and Ryan problem-solve the complex engineering behind this project, and take jabs at each other all along the way!

Wouldn’t be cost effective in metal. Fiberglass is the only way that would be a good idea and unfortunately Crucible is a metal work specialist.

This is a really interesting project to me. Not in the least because I'm doing something with a Boxster rear suspension myself! But since I don't have a Boxster chassis to measure against, I'm taking a lot of notes 🙂 ... Don't suppose you know off hand the angle of the strut tower plates relative to the flat plane of the body, and the distance between the shock tower centres? Best of luck anyway, great project!

Longer axle distance will make the car real supersport in comparison to the kind of "Buggy" size Boxster. BTW, i watch you guys waiting for your fails...but is impossible, just allways perfect work...grrrr.

I like the content and the skills. Me being a builder, I take measurements and wasting material very serious. Ryan is smart and humorous, I just wish he'd be a lil more serious sometimes and put that into his craft...the humor will come. Great channel guys.

They're not 'standard' measurements if you're the only country that uses them. They're 'Imperial' measurements and they're the biggest troll the UK ever played on you.
