My mothers wedding cake was a 4 tier cake and it was $800 which at the time to me was crazy expensive but looking back now she got a great deal. For kids birthday cakes, people easily spend $200+

I’ve done this, but you need dowels to stabilize tiers, and make them level. Slightly freezing the cake makes it easier to cut into layers

It needs a topper. Maybe more flowers? For $1,000, I sure hope those are real flowers. It was a fascinating process, and I enjoyed watching you create it.

I just made a 3 tier wedding cake for my niece last week. Lemon cake with Raspberry filling. The hardest part for me is that she wanted whipped cream.She also wanted white chocolate hydrangeas. Had to hand paint each flower with purple, blue, and green. Saved her a lot of money.

It seems like a lot of work for what really wouldn’t be a good, at least in your opinion because you taste tested things and showed us your reaction. Example the custard filling reaction. it took you the better part of three minutes just to scrape all the icing off and hope that she didn’t get crumbs into it so that you could reuse it again. You didn’t seem to like the taste of the icing. So why not just use that three minutes to make your own icing. and yeah at the end you might say that looks like $1000 cake but could you really sell something that you yourself? Didn’t like the taste of someone for $1000? This idea kind of makes sense for a middle-class soccer mom who took on a project to try and save a bit of money for her daughter or her nieces or her next-door neighbours wedding and really wants to turn out something that looks reasonably good for next to no money and next to no skill. It doesn’t make any sense at all that you’re doing it if you’re a real baker.

I love it when I have the opportunity to make a wedding cake as the gift when I get a wedding invitation. I get to decorate, which I love. I give a high value gift that costs me a fraction of what the couple would pay if they had to buy it.

Fake flowers? The nasty germs from those flowers make me cringe 😬 Have you seem them in stores😵‍💫😂 no thanks don’t put them on a cake for my family. The green is beautiful.

It's a nice transformed cake, but not $1000 worth. For one, a 1k cake should not have the tiers lop-sided.

Way too much touching the cake and touching your face and hair :/ I get that you talk with your hands too but need to work on not touching face hair etc when you’re showing how to turn a cake into something better.. I couldn’t watch all the way thru 💀 also I noticed with so many ppl making vids they’re talking so much right over the food like do they not realize their spat spats ? Just cuz u can’t see the sprays don’t mean it’s not happening 💀💀💀

Great but you need something on the top of the cake. Please wear gloves, it seems unsanitary, touching the cake itself.

I continued watching the video and I think my first comments were spot on. You’ve had to add a tremendous amount of icing in order to get this cake to “look” like a tiered wedding cake, but between the icing that you thought was too sweet and which you’ve now added pretty close to triple the amount of just to get the cakes shaped properly and the custard on the interior that you didn’t like you’ve now gone ahead and died the finish icing coat green. I don’t know if you know this but it’s a pretty well known thing that in general people aren’t attracted to green food that isn’t a fresh vegetable or salad. I got to say knowing what I know about what you did to make this finished product I think it’s the most disgusting cake I’ve ever seen. But yes, you managed to make two sheet cakes from Costco“look” like a wedding cake. What it actually is is a pile of crap.
