Woodturning: turn a snowman Christmas tree ornament. This is the second part about turning a snowman ornament, covering finishing the ornament. The first video (Turn A Snowman Christmas Ornament Part 1) covered the turning of the snowman shape.
This video is one of several in which I turn quick and easy Christmas ornaments. These ornaments can be turned in 15 minutes or less, take only one small piece of wood, and make great Christmas trinkets to give to family and friends. I "mass produce" a lot of these each year for small Christmas gifts.

I've bought some snowman kits from Craft Supplies and watched some youtubes on turning snowmen. Your video is the best of the bunch. Your photography is very good. You provide excellent detailed explanations and you go slow enough than even an old geezer like me can follow along. I like the idea of using a wood burner, too, because I have one. Thanks for sharing.

can you further explain the burning process with sandpaper? Thank you

Hi, Inez. For burning a thick line on a raised edge or surface, I just fold the sandpaper three or four times and push it against the work quite hard. I'm using the non-abrasive side of the sandpaper. It doesn't have to be sandpaper either...I use it because I almost always have scraps of exhausted sandpaper around. But I've also done it using paper towel and scraps of wood. When using any kind of paper, you want to fold it so that it's thick enough so you don't burn your fingers.
