Turning your boat in a confined space van be tricky of you don’t know how a boat is reacting with wind.

Some KEY POINTS to take away :
1. Always know the wind direction
2. SLOW IS PRO
3. Stop your boat before starting the manoeuvre
A boat is worst then a car, it’s like driving your car in ice.
If you would go fast, it would slide sidewards a lot and you do not whant that!
4. First steer, then gear.
Steer into the wind, then gear forward
5. Check the distance from the bow of your boat in regards to did their place available in front of you.
6. Put gear back in neutral
7. Steer the opposite way (first steer )
8. Then gear in reverse. (Then gear )
Note :
Always use Max steering port or starboard for manoeuvering in tight spots
9. Let the wind help you to turn your boat around
10. Gear back in neutral.
11. Steering in the middle. (FIRST STEAR )
12. Gear back forward (Then Gear )
Note :
Give the boat time to react when shifting from neutral to forward or backward gear.
It takes time for the boat to stop and to start moving in the other direction, so always use tick over Speed and don’t wrap up the engine with a lot of power.
