I don’t watch a lot of anime outside of the mainstream stuff (Naruto lmao). But I watched Bocchi the Rock! and I fell in love with the show. So much so that when I found a Yamaha Pacifica in the same style that Bocchi buys in the last episode I snagged it. So here are some notes if you plan on buying a Yamaha PAC611VFM, and modding it into the guitar that is used on the show.
Since the exact model used in the anime is not available, you can get a PAC611VFM which is pretty much the same model, the pickguard, p90 cover, and the bridge pickup ring are the main differences. For the pickguard, I was able to find it on ebay for really cheap. I will link the eBay merchant below. The p90 cover was a pain. I cheaped out and bought one for $6.99 online. It was not a drop fit, I had to use a soldering iron to make the holes for the pole screws a little bigger. I also had to sand the bottom to fit. It would’ve been easier to just spend an extra few bucks and buy an official Seymour Duncan cover. The pickup ring was also not a drop fit. I had to use a metal file to make the width a little bigger. You can’t use sand paper for this. The pickguard was an exact match, and thankfully I did not have to modify it.
Overall, I think the guitar looks sleeker with the black pickguard instead of the tortoise shell one, and the black p90 cover also looks really sweet.
