@@GolemEnt ah, I was also playing najd into Arabia but I paused the run because I checked the eu4 wiki and it said you needed to be najd (as opposed to simply starting as it). thank you so much, I'll resume my run soon!

Mechanics prove that’s wrong. Unless you have them stacked next to each other then the ai can walk around. Laith proved it in a video when he was doing a custom game there is a choice that you can ignore zone of control.

Because the new arabian ideas and gov reform lets you stack it. The mission tree leads now to Iberia and France where it'll start being useful 🤔 Look, i'm not a big fan of colonising. I just don't see myself replacing one of these idea groups that I had for a colonist. Not my playstyle. Which one would you replace?

@@GolemEnt Modifier go high eh? A valid reason. Ah see, you don't go full explo: you go far enough to get the colonist (and maybe the third one for range if early game) and use that and claims to daisy chain far enough grab what you want. You go for it as 3rd or 4th in lieu of buying trade company provinces, letting you reach Africa/Spice Islands/Australia/New World depending on setup/preferences, then use the locals. Honestly tho, explo is such an overpowered group it kinda ruins the experience, so really, I shouldn't keep bringing it up
