This is the best “group” to come into ANY genre in several years. Their songwriting abilities are insane...and Evan’s singing is exactly what the doctor ordered. Just a tremendous group!

Absolutely amazing natural talent and unlike a lot of rock singers he knows how to project his vocals and uses proper mic technique.
So glad to hear that Evan is sober, doing well, back with his wife Staci, and excited about touring again. For a while there it was anyone's guess which way he could go.

To my knowledge, and that ain’t worth shit, I’m not sure if the group has gotten together at all. It looks like he is focusing on staying healthy and loving the ladies in his life. Which is a massive win vs the path some people with addiction issues go down. If the group got together again and didn’t even play out, but just recorded new stuff, that’d be icing on the cake for all of us.
Been listening to country music since the 90's and I just recently found these guys. Easily one of my top 5 artists of all time. There's just something about their music that makes it so unique, and the vocals play a big part. It's soothing, it's pure, and it's perfect music to put on in the background whether you're doing stuff around the house, going to bed, or straight jammin' out. No need to worry about skipping. Love these guys.
I always come back to this version. Love how you can catch a grin out of him on a couple lines. You can feel it, it's real, and it's how music should be.

The thing about Evan is that he knows how to play every note and sing every lyric. You can see it in his eyes. Also, this guy needs to stop singing songs about my life, or I'll ask for royalties
I have been listening to them for the past two years and I think their song writing and delivery is awesome…the house fire was the first song I ever heard..very hard not to like these guys…on smoke and lies is pretty badass too..
Love this version. Very cool way he’s strumming this. Heavy on the bottom strings. Deep resonant sound. He sings it in the same fashion too, doesn’t reach for high notes during chorus. Very cool ! He’s as good a lyricist as I’ve heard in many years. Hope he gets it all back together soon.
He definately needs some help on the guitar, from an accomplished guitarist I can’t stand the picking pattern it’s the same as like 8,000 others songs. With that said thank god he can write and sing because that’s the hard stuff right there. I can play the guitar finglerstyle doing bass and treble at the same time like a piano, but I can’t sing so here I am. The only guitar player to make it big is tommy Emmanuel.

It feels like he’s just venting to an old buddy about this relationship he just got out of, and how crazy ironic it all was. He’s such a good story teller man
