Just found your channel today. Love your creative style. Turquoise is one of my faves. I dont have enough thumbs and fingers for my silver and turquoise rings! Thank you for sharing. I subscribed.
This is very cool. At first I thought you were holding up an actual picture of turquoise. As it's my birthstone, I too am partial to turquoise! Thanks for the tutorial, Amy!!!
Another great video you've done! I need to try this nail polish stuff on tile too. I did some nail polish pendants on the back of domed crystal and they were beautiful. Maybe I could use one of the large colorful natural stones I bought on eBay and use one of those as a guide. You're an inspiration!
I would love to see opals done. I saw a demo done with something called "pouring medium" and paint. I think it might work for this project then you wouldn't be dealing with nail polish fumes. I've been wanting to get some and play with it. now you've shown me something to try with it. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I think you used 4 colors on this....but did you only need one bottle of each color? Want to try this but don't want to run out half way through, lol. Thanks!! Love this idea!!
This is great! It would take so long for that to thoroughly dry being poured on that thick. On the plus side it would give you a long time to work with the colors and get it looking the way you want it. =) It ended up looking awesome! =) Thumbs up! I would love to see something done with my birthstone Citrine ( or Smokey Topaz) LOL I love your stinking guts too. ;-)
Amy youre awesome! I'm about to paint some of these and give them as gifts. You should totally try something like labradorite. It has gorgeous black, metallic blues, and teals (sometimes yellows). keep up the great work and thanks for the inspiration
Beautiful! Now I know what I can do with some mirrors I have. They have some black type of designs on them. So adding some gorgeous colors like you did would really make them POP! :D Thanks so much.
This is totally beautiful and so awesome! I do have a few more question, after viewing several of your Semi-Precious Stone paintings. 1) Do you know how lightfast nail polish is? 2) Will spraying with an Archival Fixative, followed by sealing with an Acrylic Varnish, keep the polish (or any other suspect lightfastness product) from fading? Love your videos and REALLY love how you just go for it!!
Oh what great fun! The possibilities are endless. 😄😄😄 What a happy accident to have come across your channel (subscribed immediately) and now follow you on FB (soon on IG). Love turquoise too! As for other semi precious stones....how about malachite, amethyst, lapis lazuli, tigers eye....oh if you love turquoise you may enjoy larimar. It's a stone from the caribbean and is softer hues of turquoise, blue greens with white veins. Looking forward to seeing more of your fun to do's. 💛
You are so amazing watching your videos has truly inspired me to continue growing in my craft!! You have helped me recently through a particularly tough time and still are such a positive influence. I am glad I found your channel! Thank you for all your work! If I could afford to I would SOOO LOVE to adopt one of your pieces! You take care and keep creating! :)
LOL No it’s not weird I think it’s too cute about your passion for turquoise. This was really really beautiful TFS. I love that stone and I love pthalo teal they’re just so so beautiful. Oddly different paint companies will call one turquoise & the other of the same color, teal and vice a versa. It really throws me off sometimes.
Wow!. I don't know how I found you, but I'm glad that I did! You are so inspiring, and we are a lot alike in our creativity, and humor. Sending love from Los Angeles!
Im currently doing a Fine Art degree and I'm HATING it so much atm, even though I've always chosen Art as a subject in school and college and always and always enjoyed it. I almost forgot how therapeutic and FUN art can be and it doesn't have to be what is 'expected' from you at Art school. This video seriously reminded me that art is also FUN! Its crazy how doing a degree in what you were always so passionate about, can make you begin to hate it with constant expectations and grade criterias lol. Thank you so much, love your video, cant wait to see what else you have on your channel.
