andrew truax That’s a good question, I did not reinforce my foundation. It is doing fine without one. I’m not a professional so maybe I should have but did not. I love the crawlspace entry and it is working fabulously. You don’t use it much but when you do you’re so glad it’s there. Thanks for commenting. Chad

Yeah, you have to reinforce the header if you are going to be removing a chunk of the foundation.
