TURTLE BEACH XO SEVEN- Full Review 

I just got this headset yesterday and i am very happy with them! They are so practical and i love how simple they are!

Hey Waternut. Just a couple things to add. The headset can transmit whatever sound output the XBOX ONE sends to it. Example being bitstream out DTS Surround and Dolby Digital. I would not buy the headset unless it offered surround for directional gameplay. Example being footsteps back left vs front left. Stereo would not pick that up I believe. Also I have noticed a slight buzz in the headset everytime I switch tiles on the home screen but have not had sound cut out. Patch coming. Another big negative is that the headset is squeaky. Whenever I move my jaw to eat or chew gum, the headset squeaks in the joints and the mic picks it up so my friends hear my squeaky headset. But overall it's a great headset, just wish it wasn't so squeaky.

Just got these today and I really love them. Played Dragon Age for 10 hours straight and had lots of battery left. Sound is amazing and so glad I got them.

Great video man. I got these two days ago and im super impressed. I really like how you can easily switch the cords so you can go from your xbox to your phone or computer. Great headsets that I would recommend to anyone

nice vid thanks. What are they like compared to the xo 4 ? is there a difference in sound quality or is it just the build quality and the fact that you can use xo 7 with mobile devices?

I really like them, and completely agree with you about the noise cancellation, sometimes my partner is talking to me and I am like "Sorry what, sorry what" and then have to just take them off cause I just cannot hear her.. What compatible accessories would Turtle Beach have that would work for this Ear Force XO Seven headset.

Can these be used for the PC as well? I have been looking for a durable, nice sounding cross platform headset for PC and Xbox One. If this does not work any other suggestions that can work for both?

so do they have any type of surround sound? i mean, can you tell there was an explosion behind and to the left of you? or does it just sound like it came from anywhere on the left side.

The XO Seven feel a lot more snug/heavy on my head over my current PX22 set which is nice. It looks and feels sturdy. I don't have an XB1, bought these for PC and it doesn't work unless you buy a metric crap ton of more cables which are annoying and I have. Sound quality is slightly better than the PX22's but not worth a $130-150 price tag.

I wanted to know what attachment plugs would these headsets have for the headset breakaway cable, and the mobile adapter with the inline mic on the xo sevens. I want to buy a headset splitter for these so I can make, and receive calls while gaming. Is there a specific headset splitter that I have to buy.

There is a inline mic on the lead that you use for the mobile devices

O ya the turtle beach elite 800 will work with the Xbox 1 with an adaptor and its 7.1 surround sound that is an update they cost 300 bucks

I would love for this question to be answered but are the xo sevens compatible with the Xbox 360 as well??? I watched a review by IGN and they said you could use them for the 360 as well. I have the xo sevens but I could not figure out how to get it to work with the 360. The review IGN gave wasn't as good as yours but I believed them only because they are a gaming industry.

I just got these, did the controller update and all though the crackling is still present. I heard it was fixed after the March update but came back after the June or July update. Is anyone else still experiencing this crackle noise? I even did a full restart cycle on my X1 and unplugged and re plugged the adapter and that made the noise go away for only about 2-5 minutes and it came back.

Turning one sound source up simultaneously turning the other down is a HORRIBLE feature. Afterglow headsets do the same thing. At least for competitive gaming it's bad. Maybe it's good for casual players but i still cant see it being useless for them either. Just a dumb feature.

The headset is not really worth it they went backwards. On the 360 those headsets were much better than this pos. If your on your headset and someone else is on theres a lot of static between the headsets. I also noticed way to much bass your going to blow out your ear drum because when it comes to it sounds like a paper bag in water i am not to fond of these turtle beach went backwards and forgot everything they put in all the other one i paid $99 for my px32s and there shit on these xo 7s so tb fix all your problems because i will be returning these for there new ones when all bugs are fixed

Hey, i find when im playing cod with these, it sounds like the gunfire is coming from all different directions. Like on other turtle beaches there was a sync button, and it would change the sound a little bit to the game and you could tell if someone was running or shooting behind you. Any ideas how i can fix this, or is there i sync button on them that i cant find lol
