Yeah I’m 61 and I just started detailing my 07 and 08 TL Type S using ONR followed by Turtle wax ceramic hybrid spray and following 1 week later by Turtle wax Graphene flex wax spray👌👌. And people stare while I’m driving 👍

I tried moonlight for the first time in October 2020 after watching some of your old videos. It truly works, easy to apply, buffs beautifully without streaks and lasts. It’s in a different league to stuff like meguiars hybrid ceramic wax, or turtle flex graphene, or the TW ceramic stuff.

In regards to the TW75 wax, my initial review showed it to be stupidly resistant to chemical attack... BUT, I've been running a long term test on a "real life" daily used car and its failing miserably after only two months. The update vids were absolutely fine until about 1 month, then the degradation happened quickly!

your preaching to the converted here chaps Ive been saying this for 5 years. when a product is freshly cured and its got the fresh film on.. they can withstand a beating. (providing they been applied properly and the detergents used are not leaving cationic films). But this is not the same as putting it on a car and what a car gets subjected to. Theres so many variable both around application but how you test it, different things can happen. Ive also seen different results over similiar tests. seen all sorts of wierd stuff. but generally these tests give some sort of vague finger in the wind idea, or theres a loose translation. But theres also around issues with people thinking products have failed when they have not. we also only measure though trying to monitor hydrophobicity. So hydrophobic materials are at a huge advantage. If you can figure out a way to back bone car protection products with inherently hydrophobic material people will love your product because they will perceive it to be lasting long to a product which lasts longer but you cant actually see this because its not hydrophobic. like the first wave of ceramic coatings which came out, look dead after the first wash because its not hydrophobic. but the material will be on the car for 2 years.

@@DetailingandtheBeast of course, still I trust the professional views when I comes to new products otherwise I’d spend a small fortune on every product released trying to find one I like and the only judge will be yourself once exposed to the real world conditions. And to be fair my car gets battered going up and down the motorway everyday, but in comparison to the fusso it wasn’t what I expected

Thank you, Jon, it good to see Fusso won the test for durability. In one of your videos, you said coating is a problem when you have to have the car repainted for most consumers. They have to make sure the paint shop prepare the paint for the repaint. they have to remove all of the coating on the repair area

Thank you for this video Jon, i was actually looking for a durability video with normal, non-coating products. Thank you! I love old fusso🥰, I'm gonna miss it when mine runs out. I've ordered carpro lite yesterday to try to replace fusso. I wanted to apply a wheel coating to my wheels a few months ago, I hadn't driven that car much over winter and had fusso on the wheels. I tried and tried but just gave in cause i couldn't strip it to put the coating on 😂😂😂

wheels get hot like an oven, fusso will melt circa 60-70 deg. use a ceramic coating on the wheels mate.

Good test my friend. I’ve used all the recent TW products. They’re not very good here in the southern US where it gets very humid. I put the new TW paste on my trunk(boot) lid and it was gone after 2 months. Their Seal n Shine and first Hybrid Solution Ceramic Spray are far better. The 303 is tough but not slick at all. It does give a long lasting gloss but not super hydrophobic or slick. My neighbor brought me a paste wax called Yellow Wax W-41 to put on his car. Three months later it’s still as slick and hydrophobic as the day I applied it.

Wash and chemical torture tests give you an idea on how a product may hold up but near impossible to duplicate real world durability. In my area 4 months of salt and road film wears on sealants. I always look forward to your videos! Keep them coming John!!

Moonlight is a light ceramic coating... As you need to polish it to remove from the paint. At this point I see no point in using it comparing to a real ceramic coating, even for the price it comes here where i live...

Another cracking vid 👍 I'd love to a see a video on new TAC moonlight vs a four year old bottle. Some ideas for testing the products; You have a simulated road grime, what about a simulated bird poo? How about cooking these products with a strong UV lamp for a few days or a week and seeing how they hold up? How about water spot resistance? Your testing is better than most other videos but I still think there are real world variables that we could include to make them more accurate. Lastly, have you considered a video using a test panel with one LSP on different standards of prep? You could do multiple sections; one washed, one coated, one decon washed, one polished and panel wiped and then see how the prep compromises the product lifespan. Keep up the good work 👍

As an avid user of TW flex wax, I think the two TW on the right were gone long ago. They definitely failed first, but I don't like adding layers and layers of product, and I wash once a month ...so it works real well for me. I use it as a topper and it lasts ~4 weeks (when applied as a rinse off) which is perfect for my schedule.

Having just used old Fusso yesterday, im glad to see it was the clear winner! my decon was a wash, fallout remover, tar remover, clay bar, machine polish, BH cleanser fluid, than finally the applciation of the old Fusso, cannot wait to see how it performs. next weel i'll be using the soft 99 glass compound followed by glaco max on the glass roof and rear and wide glass (nothing on the windscreen for me due to previous wiper judder nightmares lol)

I know it say no wait time after applying but this is what I noticed. I put the 303 Nono Graphene coating on my 71 Chevelle and the paint was smooth but not slick “at all”. My car is in the garage 90% of the time. After applying, I took the car out for a drive for a few hours and it was 90* plus outside then back in the garage After about 5 days sitting in the garage I noticed the paint was slicker. Then I put the 303 Graphene detailer on and it made it slicker but I was still expecting better. Then after another 5 days sitting in the garage OMG!! It’s like glass now!! So far I absolutely love this stuff. How long will it last?……probably a long time on my Chevelle it’s not a daily driver.

I think if you have a big budget and you understand your not paying for like durability your paying for like the label. Well I think swissvax is credible as a high end brand and the their waxes are nice to work with. But the big caviate is a cheap 15 pound was can last longer etc.. I talk about high end waxes soon.

The 303 Graphene is the best practice product in this comparison. I would double wash the car, use Mother's California Gold Clay bar , and then the 303 Graphene spray. This method works wonders on black paint. I own a couple of weekend cars that are both black, 1990 Chevy Corvette drop top, and a 1995 Mercedes Benz E 320 they look absolutely amazing.

The best thing about the fusso coat is that i have almost a full can left at home. I top it with speed and barrier once every forth wash and somtimes with the bazooka when im in a hurry, i think it will outlive me🤣

Told ya’ the Fusso was a better comparison against the Gyeon Wax! 😝 It’s cheaper, it’s way more chemical resistance and from what I’ve seen in video (I haven’t seen the gyeon wax in person, but do have extensive experience with fusso), it’s also slightly more hydrophobic! I suggested it and you said stay tuned but I didn’t know you’d have it up this quickly! Glad you changed the intro too, you don’t sound like a beggar anymore. That starting every video out with pleeeease subscribe was very off putting IMO and you’ve done VERY well to have changed it. Thought you’d put the Gyeon and Fusso next to each other since they’re both based on the same material, but I’ll settle for this :P

Jon how did you know moonlight expired by date in bottle or appearance or performance? My bottle did a weird cloudy thin when I most recently used it, it then went back to clear again. Was weird, not sure if sun or temp change did it. Have you tried or reviewed TAC system one?

great review. I have to say that when I do my car, if there's one thing that will send me bezerck is a spray bottle that's broken, leaking or busted. AND it is such that I refuse to buy Meguiars because of the cheap bottles they package their product in. The autoglym bottles and triggers are so durable and reliable by comparison. While the products are amazing, at the end of the day, if they're not dispensable they're a waste of time

Mckees hydro blue pro: Applied before Toronto winter in September, still beading towards June. Loads more durability compared to the non-pro version. (I didn't even clay/iron remove before application.. and THE KING of application, spray and rinse off. Please check it out.

I have purchased the double speed wax, last week i done the car with Turtle wax jet black which covers light scratches can i use double speed on top of this or do i have to strip the jet black of. hmm Im going to say not that much. And thats based on the Pro detailers testing we did at autoglym with their UV tank. But I dont have much experience of testing products with UV light. thats all I have so take with pinch of salt.

I can see your Moonlight is going bad it’s so cloudy now, mine is a little older and nowhere near that cloudy. It it’s a testament to the quality of that product. The real question is can you top Moonlight with the Flex Wax ? The plot thickens….

Hi Jon Yet another top video. Interesting to see the Moonlight degrade in the bottle over the years. I've had a bottle about half full for the last 2 years or so. Like yours it'd been kept in a garage. Would appreciate your thoughts as to whether you'd reckon it would still be good to use. Only asking as I'm in the market for a new sealant potentially. Hi Feronsic Detailing Channel, I'm wondering if I can use the Soft99 Fusso coat (new formula I suppose, as the older one can't be found anywhere?) as a first applied protection layer, and then combine it with the Turtle Wax 53342 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Waxspray for the more glossy effects. Would that work? Would that even make sense, or is it just a waste of time and product? Thanks!

put fusso down and you are down. wash car, use a detail spray to help dry it. in 3-6 months time apply more wax. the ceramic product is more of an alternative durable spray ceramic wax type thing.. but fusso does not need this on top.

Hiya Jon. I've just got a tub of the new fusso coat. What would you say is the best wax you've used? I've always used DSW but Fusso has mental reviews.

the old fusso has unrivalled durability really. the new one is still damn good but I think they had to tone it down because of EU chem regulations.

hey my friend, love your work, just wondering if you can unwrap the mystery behind armor all's extreme shield ceramic car wash and where it sits amongst the food chain ie can it be used as a regular wash to help maintain any or all coatings, ive seen many vids here on the tube and it seems legit, its not here on the oz shelves as yet or that im aware of

theres millions of products like this on the market. they are great for the mass market that has not seen this before because they contain cationic materials which cling to the car and create a hydrophobic cationic film which repells water etc.. theres not really too much ceramic about them (any of them) they have been around for a long long long time its just sort of hitting the main stream brands now. My advice is dont use them. When you wash your car your aim should be to wash it. When you put protection on your car you aim is to protect a component etc.. dont combine these functions. When you cover your car in a cationic film like this its a bit like painting a room by sticking a grenade in a paint can in the middle of the room and running.

@@ForensicDetailing its changed so much in even the last 10+yrs since i gave up painting show cars (2009) pre that it was all about swirl marks, im correcting my mustang and cant decide between the wax, resin, polymer , ceramic, graphene and all the ones between, im a perfectionist thats why i no longer paint so the protection game is now doing my head in haha just so much info etc, i would ask you your formula from entree to main to desert but im sure it wouldnt be that easy

Could you please test liquid luster there’s local stores down where I live and they still sell the hell out of liquid luster people love that stuff. is it really that good?
