Interesting thank you. :) I'm one of those people who'd prefer to live in that last town. Seems ideal. And I'm done renovating old houses, but being nosy I'd love a tour round that big house with the tower.

I noticed similar occurence in the Genoa area. It has much higher prices than say South Italy but then noticed 20-50km prices can be very different. That's an eye opener and good to know if budget is limited. Thanks for sharing!

You are welcome. I should’ve thought of it sooner, people are always amazed that you can buy a nice $60,000 apartment in the middle middle of Tuscany near all services.

I recently went to an olive oil tasting at Frantoio Buraschi in Montepulciano Stazione. I loved it. It was so interesting to see the places by bus and train. A great opportunity to speak Italian.

Hi Brad! Loved the driving tour of those smaller hill towns, and, yes, I agree, as much as I enjoy some peace and quiet, I also need more people and more action in a town. Looking forward to seeing what you and Oly decide on for your new place! Amy from MN🎉😊🎉

I’m always afraid of doing videos where I just drive around for 20 minutes or walk around the city from top to bottom thinking that people might be bored and wouldn’t watch it. And then I watch videos where someone’s walking around the city for an hour and it has 1 million views.🤷🏼‍♂️ Will keep the lights on for you. Thanks for watching. April…. Tick tock.

Thanks for your honesty Brad. The towns are clean and lovely. To be honest, the more I learned the more I appreciated my life in the US. Perhaps I am just spoiled but all those odd closing times, inability to purchase a car, and other things would wear thin. As you well know from your pro experience, in the US your apt/house comes with a kitchen, bathroom fixtures, safe electric wiring etc. Having visited Italy's larger cities you cannot help but fall in love with the people, the food, the history. We serious watchers are a little unnerved by never seeing anyone on the streets. Your business knowledge and experience are invaluable to us dreamers❤️

You get used to the tradeoffs. Schedules are just different here. You can buy a car BTW. Non-EU just have to form a SRL (LLC) and that buys the car and you own the company. Easy. Cost about €900 to set up.

I’ll work on it. Here’s the problem. People here in general always think that other people are trying to trick them. I’ve worked very hard to find a precious few agents that I can work with that. Give me access to houses. I’ve written numerous other agents in the area that specialize in these lower and houses, shown on my channel, etc. and I still never get a return phone call or an email back even saying no thank you. my friends here say that it’s because people are always wondering what your angle is. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’d rather have a smaller more quaint than large town. So could get to know your town and neighbors. Yet, close enough to visit surrounding areas. Good videos. Something around 30,000 would be great since traveling from the States. Come for a couple months at a time or longer. Have 2 labs and they would want to travel. Thanks!❤️💥🐾🐾

Thanks for sharing the different perspectives and aspects of the various places, that aren't that far away really.. It's great to have options to consider. Love that you walk around and talk to us!! It's incredibly helpful!! Esp mentioning if they have a 'train station' or not because it helps determine a lot of things for those of us who don't plan on maybe having a car while out there. Brad do mind also letting us know if they have 'taxis' there too. I know not all places do ( personal experience), but that would also be a great help too. Does Montepulciano have a taxi company.... just wondering? Thank you for always giving of your time and wisdom!! Hi Olivia :)

There are taxis here but they can be a little pricey. There are buses here and that might be a better option. Find something near a good bus line. Glad you liked the walk around.

For me, the quieter the better. I’ve lived in the hustle and bustle long enough. PLUS, few amenities means there is room in the market to open my own retail shop. I’ll take a clean, quiet, charming town and go visit those invaded by tourists when it suits me.

These little towns that aren’t in the “Prime” spot can be very nice. Once you meet the people and can carry on a conversation in Italian you will be welcomed at least as a friend, if not like family. I’m here, I’m doing it and this is fact. People often say I want to be somewhere inexpensive but don’t want to drive. It’s not hard for nonresidents to get a car here. I’ll make a video soon about the paperwork.

@BradsWorld
@BradsWorld 8 месяцев назад
Just to be clear I don’t flip. Flipping here is hard because normally you don’t see huge equity gains. The other issue is taxes…. You’d be liable for 43% income tax for most of the gain you made flipping. If you hold a property here 60 months there is no capital gains tax so something to keep in mind!! 🤓

I could live here. I have lived on an island for 10 years, with a very poor corner store only. We do get supermarket deliveries though. I love the quiet. You can always drive or travel to see people and a hub if that is what you want It currently takes me a ferry ride, plus one or two bus rides to a Shopping Mall or a CBD. You said it has a great meat market and fruit market, so it sounds workable to me. Question: I have just started to possibly consider purchasing in Europe. Is it easy to buy one of these, just move in, and cheap properties and use as a base for travel all around Europe and an easy pop over to the UK that sort of thing?
@BradsWorld
@BradsWorld 8 месяцев назад
Pretty much just that easy. And you can be here 90 days out of every 180 days without doing any sort of tax filing or anything. Most likely you won’t even need a visa. Not sure about the UK anymore since they’re no longer part of the EU, those dummies. But yeah, the rest of Schengen zone you can go to.

@@BradsWorld Thanks Brad, have a few things to put in place first, may take 12 - 18 months, but will definitely investigate going forward. We are becoming more and more enamored with Europe. It will mean we will have to be the bravest we have ever been, but if others can do then we should be able to do it. Push ourselves out of our comfort zone. Will want something fully done, no more renovations for us. Will follow you until then.

So Brad why show us these towns on a Sunday when everything is closed and all the people are resting or out somewhere else? what do the towns look like on a Friday afternoon? I understand that Italy is dying and all the young people are moving away due to lack of opportunities. Some of the country hill top towns are ghost towns, with no or limited services and shops.. A bit of a mine field when looking to buy...
@BradsWorld
@BradsWorld 8 месяцев назад
Somebody has been reading too much news…. There are certain towns in southern Italy that are dying. “All the young people” aren’t moving away. Every town isn’t a ghost town. Watch the video I am posting this weekend about Sinalunga. Hilltop town with big flat area around it full of shops and people in Tuscany. You can still find REALLY affordable housing here. In Tuscany. But the whole country isn’t dying.
