Just like the original Tusk D-Flex handguards, the Tusk D-Flex Handguards with MX shields offer exceptional hand protection and durability. For a more race look, this kit includes the motocross style plastic shield that mount to the aluminum guard. The tough, tempered aluminum guard is designed with a large bend for lever clearance. The plastic shields are durable and can be easily replaced. The hand guard kit comes with bar mounts for 7/8" handlebars. Larger 1 1/8" clamps are sold separately. Great video and i just bought the red ones for my crf250r and tusk is definitely an amazing brand for aftermarket parts for your bikes quads etc!

My one gripe here and it doesn't even affect me. Why make the 1 1/8" adapter a separate purchase? Why not just allow the purchaser the option of choosing which size handlebar they have and send the necessary mounts?

Hello, I purchased a set of Tusk MX sheilds and followed the directions to the T and they do not fit. Can you bend Aluminum cold to try and shape them? All manufactures should make these Model Specific so they will fit. I have spent 2 hours trying get them on but no way. James

No, this kit comes with the aluminum bar and the MX shields. The first link in the description will take you to the product page where you can see everything that's included.

What's the difference between these and the Tusk D-flex pros that are $20 more?

The biggest difference is the shape and coverage of the handguards. The MX shields offer less coverage than the D-Flex Pros. The D-Flex Pros also come with the option of 7/8" or 1 1/8" mounting hardware, whereas the D-Flex come with 7/8" mounting hardware and 1 1/8" adapters are available separately.

I bought a set last year and mounted them, worked great. I want to transfer to a different bike now. How do you remove the insert, from inside the bar?
