I am a 66 almost 67 year old married father of 4 children. ( 2 of which went to an HBCU- FAMU) other 2 went somewhere else. I grew up in the segregated south in La. in the 60's. This video is awesome on so many levels. One is that I know the history and story behind Tuskegee, Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver (who was quite literally a genius), and others. I know the history and story of my own linage as well. Plus I am a full time musician. That bass line they are playing is from one of the greatest innovators and forward thinkers musically of all time, Sly Stone of Sly and the Family Stone. Those babies (and that's what they are to me) don't know, or perhaps don't know the significance of the dances that they're doing and where it comes from. They're not thinking bout all that( As well they shouldn't) But when my 66 year old eyes see it. I think of tribal African dancing. And to see these young, beautiful World Changers, carrying on the legacy and traditions of their forefathers and mothers just pumps me up tremendously. My 93 year old Mom is an HBCU grad (Grambling) There is something so Needed, and essential at the HBCU'S. God bless em all.
What a time to be alive! I was a freshman in '99 when this song was came to be. It is hot under the shed but that is the only place to be as a student. Restrooms and concessions is up the hill, behind the shed. Now, being an alumnus, I am fine with sitting on the hill by Logan under my own shed in a comfortable chair. Pride of the Swift Growing South!
This is the Hardest and Baddest pep song i have every heard and seen in my life. The Synergy is Off The Hizzy! Straight 🔥!!! This praise is from a Die Hard ASU 🐝 !
Grew up in the shed....now I really appreciate it looking back. Man we used to have a good time. I see nothing has changed....Native of Tuskegee 70s-90s. Much love
This damn near brings a tear to my life long Houstonian eyes. I remember playing high school ball against Pokey and now y'all are doing something that not even TSU or Prairie View attempted with this song.

😂 HA HA HA! If it wasn't for the shirt, you would think that he didn't have any School Spirit. His body and shirt were there, but his spirit was elsewhere. 😂
The cheerleading captain threw that 8 count wrong at 2:34. Instead of going around the head twice it was suppose to be once and two bucks afterwards. You can tell by some of the cheerleaders doing different motions.
