CLASSIC. THIS is the video that started it all for me. I came across this two years ago. I was like "I could film with my phone? wow". I went outside and practiced these moves for about a week... then watched the rest of the series. So awesome!!!!
that was a few years ago, now you can se the VERTICAL VIDEOS are so populare beacause you can see them on the phone perfectly size your screen, before that, you had the black part on the sides, now not
Not gonna lie I started a year ago and this is the first tutorial I watched and now I am thankful that I can create amazing cinematic videos because of you
Great tips! I've also found that doing a closeup on an object or face, and then slowly moving away gives a really cool cinematic effect. Thanks for the tutorial.
You seem like such a great and entertaining educator. Very inspirational and contagious. And great content too! You better keeeeep filmiiiiing 😎🎬 Best Greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark.
This is refreshingly good content and presentation. I have watched several of your offerings and learned a lot from each as well as been encouraged that there is someone using hardware for the rest of us. Patrick, I get the impression you are, inch by inch, moving towards more high-end equipment. The charm and value to your vids is that they are well done using a cell phone, yet getting outstanding results. Please, stay true to your original concept. The number of views your are getting and approvals tell it like it is. Thanks for what you are doing.
Thank you very much Mr. Levar. You saved my life! Havin taught my elder sis to shoot but she's shakingly done it with fear. Now she's fine w/ shooting bcoz of u. Greeting fr Thailand.

Thankyou Patrick for these awesome tips. I recently started a vlogging channel and it was difficult to find tips specifically for smartphones. I'm sure that all other viewers feel the same way when I say Thankyou so much for your help. This was very informative and helpful. Continue making videos
TYSM for the tips, My group had a documentary project and we only had a week to submit it, thanks to this it will be easier and more creative about it! 😊
Been watching u for a long time I quit the idea of photography and videography for a long time because of not able to afford a high end DSLR...but thanks to u I started smartphone photography and now I'm trying videography on a smartphone.......that's why I'm back to watch this series!!!
Great tips! When I started making movies back in the days phones with cameras didn't exist. So I used an old DV camera. But today you can create some really cool stuff with cell phone cameras. As a filmmaker you have to use what you have. Great video!
I love your take on this, and the fact that you took the time to put effort into this to help people learn is amazing in itself. I wish you good luck for the future :)
Heck yeah, excellent tips, tyty. I'm a bit of an upstart short film maker, and I've almost no budget so all filming is done with phone, this will help make everything come out clean
You're awesome Patrick, this is what I am looking for. I am making my vlogs but not pro in filming part. Thank you somuch for coming up with this. Lot's of love from India❤️

Thanks so much for sharing! I've been tagged to make videos for our small church and my equipment is my phone (call me CLUELESS!). So finding your video feels like I've struck gold! Much appreciated!
WOW!! Amazing how cinematic the 'Slide' makes the footage look! Nice job and very useful... will be applying these techniques and practicing to try and make my footage look better with these simple tips! ;-)
Well, thankyou very much for your explanation on this video. Because you explain it so good and give some example. I'll do it as soon as possible. Once again thankyou Patrick 🙏
I have an upcoming travel and I really wanted this time to shoot some stuffs that not only could make my travel memorable but also look a bit nice than just point my camera into something and start shooting aimlessly.. So I started to look for videos here in youtube to find some tutorials on how I can get the most of the camera capabilities of my mobile phone since I dont have go pro, dlsr or stuffs professionals does have. But I found very minimal and some of them are overwhelming..I want a beginner guide type of thing that lets me understand stuffs more simplier, then I came across this video..I've watched it, understand it and now, I cant wait to learn those simple but powerful tricks. I know, I've only watch this first video, but I've subcribed and planning to watch the whole playlist of this mobile film-making and hopefully I can learn much more. And I wanna thank you for creating this simple to understand video like this and helping people like me who are willing to learn but cannot understand a terms and stuffs photography has to offer. Of course I know how to pan, slide or anything but doing the better way like you do and teach is much better than just zooming the phone in my hand straight up, down, left or right faster to shoot anything and in the end of the day, after the whole thing's over, I'll find out that my shoot is such a waste. So I'm gonna watch and learn more from you and practice afterwards. So, again..thanks and keep it up. God bless!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I've been trying to teach myself how to make videos of my new passion (Gardening) I think your tips were great. Can't wait to find the next tutorial.
I am just starting on this and yes I am a meme channel But on my other vlog channel I am Trying to make good vlogs So this vid really Helped me out THANKS! :3

Some very useful tips, thanks. I make it a rule to always pan from right to left because when I edit, it keeps the clips in the same direction. Often I record without a final project in mind, just capturing what I find interesting spontaneously.
Has anyone you know ever told you that you are a good teacher? 💖 Thank you, I used this for my skits. As soon as I raise money for a camera I will stop using my android
Hi! I've just discovered your channel. My plan is to watch all the tutorials in random order, until i'm up to date. So far, so good!!!! Thanks for the tutorials... there are really not too many of them dedicated too 100% mobile filming!!!
Patrick Levar well yes, but for a beginner like me for example.....this is soooo helpful so thank you. But may i ask one thing, what is this "instagram tv" thing? Abit shameful to say but i'm really a newb about this vlogging thing
_____ you know how before instagram only allows a 15 sec video to a one minute video? Now, it’s like facebook. IGTV or Instagram TV allows user to post videos for up to 1 min or more.
I shot most of my 4k cinematic videos using my phone HTCu12+ in my channel. I miss it's compactness! Phone image quality is improving every year. Thanks for sharing!
