Hi everybody! I'm sorry I've been gone for a while I've been super busy competing in the Odyssey OSB Tournament!! But I'm back with another tutorial! The Vocal Bass!
This one is one of the easiest basses to learn in my opinion! It's all about getting that uvula control down and pushing with a nice amount of air!

Also, i just wanted to add that the guys that do this bass (pwad dudz etc) pitch the uvula vibration with the voice in a fifth interval or sometimes sing the same note with the uvula, this makes the bass sound cleaner and is perfect for routines more based in harmony

For me, I figured it out by pretending I had water in my mouth that I was gargling. The sound is literally gargling & humming at the same time. When you gargle, and your back of your tongue vibrates, that’s the vocal bass spot.

I have always called this bass starky bass, I don't know why people call it vocal bass. If you see old videos from beatbox vocal bass was what we call now throat bass. Anyway, I know it will be a dope video as always.

Same!! See my comment for my feelings, I agree 200% with you. I call it starsky bass or would call it even uvular bass over “vocal bass” bad name for it. Technically, any bass involving the vocal chords or the vocal tract and it’s elements (throat, chest, inward, vibration, indicator’s frybration bass, inward vocal fry, evil, hard bass and yes starsky bass too) are all technically “vocal basses” too. This name i feel detracts from bass knowledge and beatbox sound categorization and education due to this

Hi Kindo first up thanks for the vid. I got the outward uvular oscils but for some reason the vibrations are very loose and not tight - so instead of sounding bassy i actually sound like im talking into a spinning fan. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!!

Really cool tutorial, keep it up. Do you have any tipps to make it more consistant and cleaner? When i have a bit spit there like gargle it it doesnt hurt so fast but isn`t clean and I push to many air through.
