That's a good idea that will save a bit of time, or allow you to easily adjust this later. Good call! I haven't seen that expression folding around, but it'd be easy to put an expression on opacity to check if we're over 90 degrees on rotation.

Yeah that's a great way to extend it. If I were going to take it further though, I'd still check the actual rotation since we're always going 0-180 degrees. Then we could change the exposure automatically as well. Although I suppose you could make a controller that changes rotation for both and use that for the exposure. You'd also have to make sure all the layers rotate positively. The way it's built you can't apply that to both without modification. Anyway, thanks for posting that!

Hi! It’s been a while and I’m on vacation so I’m not near my computer, but I believe all you have to do is go through the precomps and turn on the collapse transformation switches on the layers. That might make some additional problems, but I’m pretty sure I did it that way to make a paper airplane. If that doesn’t work, message me back and I’ll check it out when I get back.

Hmm, I'm not actually sure why that would be. If you're not scaling anything it shouldn't be blurry. Is it blurry in the precomp itself? Did you end up with some weird preview bug? Sometimes adaptive resolution acts strangely. Sometimes a purge helps. Edit > Purge > All memory and disk cache...

It looks sharp at 100% in the precomp, but when I view it in my final folds precomp it is super blurry. I tried the purge but so far nothing's changed.

I downloaded your project file and dropped the vector into it's front pre-comp. Looks good in there. I think I need to adjust the overall size of my design and try again. Thanks!

Shortcut. Have the footage item (comp, image sequence, movie file, etc.) you want to replace the layer with selected in the project panel. Then hit cmd + opt + / or ctrl + alt + / to replace the layer with the selected item. You can also hold opt/alt and drag the footage item you want to use from the project panel to the layer you want to replace. The shortcut is much faster in my opinion. I had to test it to remember what the dragging method was because I never use it.

It's really just the same thing but you fold it into a plane instead of all of the angles being flat. It's easier actually, since you don't have to combine as many folds in precomps.
