Thank you for this video, i use fishnet to convert lst to grid , but spatial correlation not working with me , can you send me your email pls to send you the problem.
Nice Tutorial. Thank you. Could you provide a source for further reading? Or, who is it who "wants you" to increase the distance band by 100 feet. What does it depend on? The total extend of events? Thank you!
As someone new to ArcMap, thanks for helping me understand spatial autocorrelation better! I'm having trouble creating a 1km x 1km grid. Can you help me understand how you created this please?
You should be able to increase the resolution with the gear on the youtube video control bar. They seem to reduce the resolution because my videos tend to be on the long side and I think they do low resolution as a default so that it loads faster.
Try QGIS, you can add tools to do auto-correlation and other spatial prediction methods. Though I haven't used it, I've heard PySAL toolbox is a good resource for this sort of thing, of course if you become oriented in QGIS.
The purpose of changing the distance threshold is to either increase or reduce the number of neighbors each feature has. In some cases not every feature will have influence on each other, especially if they are far away, so you would use the distance threshold to only include the features within an acceptable distance. If left at zero all features would be included, but if you were doing a study for the east coast of US you wouldn't want records in Maine influencing Florida.
