This is an excellent video. Excellent product (just ordered the kit) for documentary makers. Presenter is super cool and makes me enthusiastic about making films. Great work Sennheiser.

I love this mic set. I went from using a Schoeps boom, which was the best mic I ever had to these. These are so much better. They sound great, are so easy to use and no more setting up and trying to shoot around a boom pole!

The Rec Level on a DSLR or mirrorless camera should be set before setting the output level of the AVX. You state 3/4 but you set the Rec Level at approximately 1/4. If you feel that is correct you should start by setting the Rec Level at 1/4 then set the output of the AVX so the peaks are around -12 on the dB scale.

Can you guys please please make an XLR transmitter with phantom power for shotgun microphones? I LOVE the AVX but it’s such a nightmare to record and monitor sound simultaneously with XLR shotgun microphones because of the slight delay, I would rather have both microphones running on AVX receivers. Something like the G4 XLR transmitter or the new Deity XLR transmitter would be perfect.

Can one AVX-ME2 transmitter send a signal to two AVX-ME2 receivers? In other words, could I mic an interview subject with one transmitter and send that signal to both my A and B cameras at the same time without having to run a wire between them?

So, set the camera level to peak at say about -10 dBFS? Or maybe -6dBFS since this device has auto levelling?

For the mic level on the DSLR (2:40) you went 1/4 not 3/4 My two cents. :)

@@DiegottlosenCharmeure That makes no sense. You have set the Rec Level at 1/4. The Rec Level is not calibrated and has no 0dB. Setting the Rec Level should take place before the output level of the AVX is set.

How do I remove the AGC sound still present in a Canon 70d - it is not present in a G7 Panasonic!!?

did you find out? this mic is set on AGC output...I use camcorders Sony and panasonic...turn off their phantom power and

Hello guys, i'd like to buy it, but as a singer, in a P.a would you recommand it? And with that frequency plan, isn't there many chances to be on the same channel as a Filmmaker in a wedding, for example, if he has the same system ?

Hello Sennheiser Team! This is quite informative video about AVX. Right now, I am using Sennheiser G3 Wireless mic. G3 has one great problem with DSLR or Entry Level Camcorder (with 3.5 mm stereo jack), and you can have keep the preamp of camera quiet by turning audio to manual and bringing all the way to zero and one point or notch up. When I don't use G3 in this manner, there is lot of his or noise in audio when I am not talking. Consdering that I will be using same camera with AVX, will there be same problem. I want to ask... If I raise the level of audio of camera to 1/2 or 2/3 or 3/4, will camera's preamp work and distort the recorded sound? Regards, Dr. Vikram Aditya Tomar

a receiver for each one in the xor sockets. For me that's an admittedly slightly more expensive option but easier - as you just click and go when paired up. I presume that's right Sennheisser?

im using AVX , but i found that when monitoring from headphone will get hear some little harming at the background ??? but the output is ok! can sennheiser figure out what was it??? and not only me another friend of mine which is audio recordist face the same problem when monitoring?.. we using DSLR 5D MARK3 and we sure our headphone is good and we tested G3 side by side tq

I really dont know what I'm doing wrong but i have massive problems with the mke2 and the version 3 of the AVX for EU. Noise appears randomly in my audio of the sony fs5 mark II and this is really annoying. I dont know if it is the transmitter, the reciever, the mic itself or the cable that causes the noise in my audio...
