Agree about the rough edges and stuff.. personally i like sketches more then complete drawings cause you can see some of the choices the artist made. Sometimes a little imperfection is just pure perfection.
And dood it was DOPE, real dope... On the real ... Cool that you threw in the thought of it not being a "showpiece". We've got to allow ourselves space to mess around with new ideas. Other than that huge field of yellow, this does nicely for me. Fun little bits and spots on there that make it not just covering the bleed through. Hell of a lesson for those who want to mix medias. Hey man, Im 22 from the UK too looking to reignite my childhood passion of graffiti coloring art etc. Your channel is amazing! Just binged loads of your videos and subscribed! I want to get just into the colouring side of things and im considering buying your book but just have some questions. 1) What markers are good for a beginner? What brand, what shop, which colour ways should I get?! Im totally lost. And what good shops in person in the UK do good art supplies? 2) My creativity isnt good enough to colour these myself so Im looking to copy the way you've coloured. Do you have videos on the finished products of the pieces from your books so that I can just copy the way you've done it?? Much love man
Hey mate, thanks for getting involved and checking out my channel. Glad you're getting something from it. I'll give you my opinions on your questions: 1. I started with a set of Stabilo pen 68. They're not alcohol markers so blending them is very difficult but they're a good basic colouring pen. If you can afford it, get yourself a nice basic set of alcohol markers. I haven't used them but people I know recommend Ohuhu markers. As long as you have at least two shades of each colour, you'll have enough colours to lay down some differing values. 2. Tbh I can't recall what videos I have, but I've done quite a few on colouring, fills and so on. Also check out my Instagram @cutemkultras to see final finished pieces. Good luck with it all!
