This is a tutorial on testing DC motors functions and after replacing brushes.
Tested up .75 hp motors. If motor is good, then it's a fuse or speed controller problem on your machine. Troubleshoot it. Done this on M&R Sprint, Economax, Fusion, Vitran and other dryers brands. Tested VDC motors on Saturn, Daytona presses etc.
The makita battery is only 18VDC, these gearmotors are 12VDC. If you run a 90VDC test, it would spin slowly because battery is 18VDC.
Once again, be careful with electricity. Do not use the spacer in the battery method, buy a tray with fuse and on / off button for your battery type on amazon. Secure your motor before turning on.
