Now I have a problem and perhaps you can give me your insight: I took my Sony FDR-AXP35 Camcorder to be serviced for Error Code e61:30. The screen read that and I showed it to the Sony technician. Within a week they emailed me confirming that exact code error and I gave them the go ahead with the repairs for THB 1132 (US$34). I called them yesterday after waiting two weeks on a job that they said would take less than a week. Now they are saying they found a new error code e61:10 and that the cost is THB 9585 (US$288). There is no way the camera computer would have read e61:30 and now they say is reading e61:10. Can you tell me if this is a clear case of malpractice? I will contact the Consumer Protection Board in Bangkok, but I need some technical support before I do that.

Is it possible that there is malpractice from Sony or is it possible that these hardware problems can happen while under service? As a specialist, have you had a new problem erupt while you are fixing a camera? Was it human or mechanical (hardware and software) error?
@@ivanjimenez3003 Both are possible, it could be a human error since they are both lens-related issues. However if the camera is subject to a physical shock like dropping, multiple mechanical error codes can occur at once.

@@ivanjimenez3003 If you tell them not to fix it and ask them to send it back to you, the only way you prove it is to take it apart yourself and look for physical damages. However if they fix the damaged parts even if you take it apart yourself there is no way to tell what happened to the camera since the evidence is gone. Having that said it is a very hard case to prove whether malpractice was committed.
Hello sir, I have a Sony FDR AX100e. It is struck on the Language settings screen and the screen is non responsive. Please help me out. I really need to get it fixed. It was left in a humid environment for a while and was moist when I got it out. Thanks a lot
Please remove the battery and let it sit in a dry place so there is no more humidity inside the camera. You can expedite the process if you use a Hair Dryer from a distance not too close to the camera, but make sure the battery is removed as it could case more damage to the sensitive electronics inside.

@@sahilsharma3220 Most likely just the screen, as it is unresponsive, but I can't tell you for sure, because humidity could get on the internal components as well since it is not a water proof camera.
How do you get to the menu to calibrate the touchscreen, using the touchscreen, when the touchscreen is OUT of calibration and will not allow you to activate the menu button?
When it is OFF calibration the menu will be activated at a different spot other than where it says Menu. So you have to touch around it and see which area will activate it. Once you figured that it is being activated when you press 5mm to the right, from that point you need to press every sub menu item 5mm to the right until you get to the calibration screen.
i have the AX-53 however when I turn it on it goes to initial setup however no matter what I touch on the screen it does not respond. and I can not move to the next screen. I can not use it. I wonder if you how to fix this issue? any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

My touchsreen is unresponsive. I touch the Menu in the upper left corner and nothing happens. I can't get into any features on the touchscreen. Please help.
