INKING “When my draft is completed, I move to the inking. I always prefer a fine-tipped pen. Here I choose three grades.“ DIFFERENT TIP THICKNESS TO GIVE THREE DIMENSIONALITY “The tip difference is mainly for me to achieve a three dimensionality in my drawing. I mean if I have elements that are further back from my drawing I will use a thinner tip. Forward elements that I want to highlight, I’ll use a thicker tip.” PASS THE ERASER “With the finished ink stroke I'm going to rub the eraser over the drawing, but I won't rub the eraser all over it. Be careful not to rub the eraser over the ink.” LIGHT FOCUS “To work grayscale, before you start to indicate light I always recommend you look in your drawing where you want your spotlight. Looks simple, looks silly. But it makes a lot of difference at the end of the process in case my light in this drawing is coming from this direction.” PITT PENS “The pens i will use to finish this drawing are the PITT pens. For this drawing I chose the warm gray shades, because of the role this role ends up working better, if I had a whiter paper I would use a cool grayscale.”
