What a cool tutorial! Thank you for making this video! I am definitely going to try this, Lavinia! Love your name, too! And now I want a peppermint pattie! hahaha
LOL! If you decide to make it as a gift and add the candies, I say it's important to do quality control and test one of those candies out first 😉. I may make a tutorial of the bag without the batting soon. I like the quilted look, but it's nice to have another option.
Thanks,Deanna❣Those of us who took the class were planning on making them to sell at the guild craft boutique, but it got cancelled last year☹. Hopefully we will have one this year.
Awesome job Lavinia. I love it. I saved my Caramel M & M bag, when you said you were going to make the tutorial. So I have the bag, scissors, thread 🧵 and clips. So this a project for another time. I watched the whole video and will save it in my watch later folder. I will be hand sewing, so will do the non quilted version. Thanks for sharing. 🌷🤗💕
Yes, adding candy into the bag is a very cute idea❤️, I know your coworkers loved it❤️❤️. Your candy bag is so adorable❤️❤️especially because it’s recycling something that would otherwise end up in the trash. Your video was very easy to follow along👍🏻. Thanks for sharing🙏🏻
Thanks, Zoila! My coworker had given me these bags since she knew I made these pouches. I want to try and see how they turn out using vinyl covered fabric as well.❤
Hi Lavinia! I'm planning on making something similar to this bag. Have you ever tried putting the vinyl on the back of the candy bag instead of the front? I saw a video where they put it on the back instead and wasn't sure how that would hold up... What do you think? Have you tried it yourself?
Hi there! I suppose that could work. Was the inside going to remain unlined of fabric? I can see the advantage of putting the vinyl on the inside to make it leakproof or leak resistant. I personally prefer having the additional batting because of the softness, but it definitely wouldn't be water resistant! My niece took my quilted bag so I will be making more and have a tutorial on it this weekend. There may be a hidden giveaway tucked in that tutorial, so I hope you get to check it out😊
Hi Susan, I had bought mine at Hobby Lobby. If you have one near you, it is in the fabric section. Joanne's may carry it because they have a large fabric selection.
