After some twenty odd years of playing the various Sim games, I find myself finally wanting to learn how to make CC. My primary interest is to pull some of the original items from the original Sims 1 (including some of the custom content from it), and bring them into the Sims 3. I guess I'm feeling nostalgic. This tutorial make it seem much easier than I always thought it would be.
same! I'd love nothing more than having all the classic stuff from Sims 1, and even 2 (and maybe sims 4...), in Sims 3 (the one I think is best.) check out Simitone, the 3d version of Sims 1. I'm not sure if it'd be kosher to use their models, but nonetheless I set up an empty lot in Sims 1, viewable in Simitone in 3d, that contains every buy mode item, so i can study them in 3d and get reference imagery. I highly recommend it.
yeah this helped me a few months back with my first cc set, I made a massive vape shop and weed set and you are so flipping awesome for posting this video.
2:53 Numpad 7 gives you the overhead view, which means you'll probably have to rotate your item after modelling it. If you press Numpad 1 it will give the front view, and Numpad 3 will give the view from the right side. Numpad 5 alternates to Orthographic mode (flattened instead of perspective) which is really handy while modelling. If you hold CTRL while pressing any of those, it will give the opposite view (CTRL + Numpad 1 will give the back view instead of the front)
Now, if you wanted your sims to actually drink this..where might I find a tutorial on how to do something like that? Super amazing video btw. Extremely helpful!
Thank you so much, this was so helpful! I've been wanting to finally get into making cc and this was by far one of the best tutorials I've seen for objects. I'd love to see more! 💙
This helped a lot, but there was a lot of steps XD. Thank you! It would be nice to see you make more tutorials on CC. This is a high in demand and would be nice to see live streams of your tutorials and more speed builds. Just an idea. You are really good at it, so no reasons to stop.
Thank you so much!!! You have no idea how long i've been searching for a walkthrough of making clutter items and lo' and behold BrittBratt :) You are a queen
hii! loved the video, just had one question, how did you decide the size of the bottle (in blendr)? like, where can you see what kind of size it will eventually turn out to be? thanks! if anyone else knows, please lmk!
I have looked everywhere and cannot find how you moved the mesh in uv edit mode. my mesh wont line up and i cannot move it. i know this is an old video and unlikely to get a reply. but its worth a shot.
Thank you for this post! ❤ I'm very desperate to learn the whole blender thing. Would you please make a tutorial of making a custom animal skull eye mask? I've been trying something like a cat mask unsuccessfully sadly...
Hey there, I've followed every step of this tutorial and didn't have a problem until I tried importing the object into TSRW. I started with an object clone, but when I tried to import the mesh, I got an error message saying " the groupcount doesn't match. 1 in file, expected 2" Is this the glitch with the newer versions of TSRW you were talking about, or have I done something wrong? Any suggestions/help would be appreciated
Can you FOR THE LOVE OF ALL MIGHTY GOD, make a FUNCTIONAL juice blender for TS3, as the one it has in TS2?! I already begged to many modders but they say they can't. PLEASE! I don't play TS4 but I'm addicted to TS3 and 2 for LIFE! AND I MISS A CONTENT LIKE THAT A LOT!!! I don't know how to make one myself, no matter how many tutorials I watch.
Very helpful tutorial thank you. Question: for TSR workshop it says the path files needs to be for sims 3? Is it not available for sims 4 and where can I find that plug in?
it means tsrw can't find your game path so you have to set it up. www.srslysims.net/2018/04/setup-tsr-workshop-for-first-time-use.html and this how you do the plugin:futbolstudiohistorietas.com/plugins-tsr-workshop-para-milkshape-3d-1-8-4/
Anyone know how she selected the bottom at 9:00 ? She said I'm going to edit mode, I'm probably going to highlight these a little bit... it seems like she must have pressed a keyboard shortcut to switch to some paint brush select tool but I dont know what she did. This is literally my first time using blender.
thanks for this tutorial! One issue i'm having is that my object disappears when I'm far away from the lot. This is an issue because my object is actually a domed roof. Do you know how to fix this?? thx again for this vid it really helped me
Hi there~! This is AN AMAZING TUTORIAL~! however...im at the baking stage i followed your exact steps but when i go to bake it..it says "theres no object or image to bake too" its frustrating because i did everything you did. Do you know what maybe causing it?
@@catharsismemory Thanks for the quick reply. At the time I was trying to install a GEOM plug-in to blender. After installing version 2.69,2.62, and 2.63. I finally got it to work with version 2.63.
@@catharsismemory Now comes the hardest part, actually learning the program. Do you have any tutorial recommendations that could help me learn how to make cc for TS3. I'm mainly looking to make sandals and stuffed animals.
Hi; I'm sorry for my bad english. I made a book on Blender but I don't really understand how to do it work with sims 3: I watched your tutorial but I don't understand why the book don't want work. Can you help me please? Thank you for this tutorial. Have a nice day
Aww i'm sorry i didn't reply soon, if you made a book then it would either be under accessories or decor option depending on what you want it for. What other issues where you having with it?
hey, do you know how to create/convert a car for sims 3 ? i need it desperate :( i have a bunch of cars but i only see it in other games like gta, i wanted to convert/create my own car mods in the sims 3
yes, i actually made a video on converting. There's also some other tututorials on converting as well but most of them are for hair but it's about the same process.
yes I do, but it's not a cc finds blog it. It's blog mostly dedicated for when I upload cc that is made by me. If you're looking for cc finds I can let list a couple of them for you.
Sorry, im not sure why either. It should work just fine. Are you sure it's the older version? www.mediafire.com/file/x70dsvkftwxlccd/TSRW_2_0_86.exe.zip/file
You need a color map. So open Photoshop and your multiplier, open a new layer and then color the entire thing red. If you you want different parts to be recolorable, then use the wand tool to highlight the multiplier then go to the layer that's your color map. Pain't in the areas you want to be different color(s) yellow, blue, or purple.
@@catharsismemory I still get the mirrored effect on the back, I do not quite understand the uvmapping that you did, I found a picture of the back of my object and exact shape how would I pull that into blender in the back?
@@mookymilkplays Good! Yes the mirror effect is normal. If you don't want the mirror effect or put differnt picture/label on the back of a mesh then use the face select module in blender during edit mode.
