If you are talking about the flap that holds the LCD Cable, it is not fixable. So you have to replace it, and you can only get that part from another used Garmin of the same model. They don't sell it separately
Do you know why my Garmin 2599 LMTD has a hard time finding a GPS signal. about 10 minutes every time I turn it on. After that it works normally. I tried resets and cold start.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 The firmware is 8.80, the last updated on garmin express and Webupdater does not give me the option to reinstall it. It only gives me the language update without any firmware. Is there any option to reinstall the same software. Or maybe downgrading firmware would help
@@divdivic8120 Yes there is an option in Webupdater to reinstall the same version again. Also if all other options fail, there is one more thing you can do for the GPS to get all the GPS fixes but it takes 24 hours. You will need to put it outside using external power supply and let it stay connected with satellites for the full 24 hour period. This will be a way for the GPS to remap the sky with the latest GPS fix. This method will work permanently as long as you turn the GPS ON at least once a week. If you leave it OFF longer than a week it may lose the GPS fix again.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Hello mate, I tried to leave the Garmin overnight in the car to map the sky. And it seems to work better and faster now, but it still has a problem every time you put it to sleep, it can't find satellites again. Webupdater simply doesn't reinstall the software .It immediately recognizes that the latest software is installed and gives me other options. I also watched your video on how to install firmware for GPS receivers on chargers via webupdater, but it doesn't give me any option for software. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BB9n8UCzog4.html
@@divdivic8120 I watched the video. It seems like you have a bad Main board. You are better off getting a used, similar GPS unit from eBay than buying a replacement main board.
