Fished a unknown lake while I was out camping once, full of all sorts of snags at the bottom of the lake, none the less caught a beautiful mirror on the choddy
@@seany574 hi mate, usually with a choddy I will fire freebies over the top at showing fish! I wouldn’t bother with particle or mix. Usually 15-20 freebies catapulted over the top 👍
@@connorhird3390 yeah unless you were fishing over a solid bottom the lead does nothing but in that situation a chod rig would not be the best approach. The resistance comes from whatever the lead is sitting in. I’d recommend a 1.5oz lead unless you need to really get out there.
@@thenortherncarper251 While there will be resistance at the lead end, on long running chods it plays almost zero into the hooking of the fish, the weight of the line, the curve of the chod aswell as a sharp hook do the work.
