I started to paint or mark (with fluorent line, tape or whatever) parts of my tackle years ago - everything is camo, green or brown. Once you drop it, it´s gone most of the time 😄
Nice one fella what a lovely looking mirror it had a huge tail and nice full fins ive heard good things about the red sea squid boilies its always a great feeling when your effort is rewarded cheers and tightlines
Fished a unknown lake while I was out camping once, full of all sorts of snags at the bottom of the lake, none the less caught a beautiful mirror on the choddy
@@connorhird3390 yeah unless you were fishing over a solid bottom the lead does nothing but in that situation a chod rig would not be the best approach. The resistance comes from whatever the lead is sitting in. I’d recommend a 1.5oz lead unless you need to really get out there.
@@thenortherncarper251 While there will be resistance at the lead end, on long running chods it plays almost zero into the hooking of the fish, the weight of the line, the curve of the chod aswell as a sharp hook do the work.
Nice! This is something I’ve been tryna do for years and failing completely 😂 Has other practical reasons in Germany though, bc bank access is often really tight. But what about overnight? My latest addition (bday present last week) is a hammock tent. I reckon it would fit into the space you’ve got left over!!
I'm going to start carp fishing again I have already bought some of my supplies all from nash except my landing net Nash Scope Abbreviated 10FT - 3.5lb S Nash 2 Rod Pod Nash Scope OPS Double Rod Skin 10FT nash alarms bobbinkits supports for the back of the rod pod baitrunners SOLAR A1 BOW-LOC LANDING NET 42" Nash fishing line What I still have to buy now is this backpack from the review this unhooking mat Nash Scope Ops Flat Mat nash workbox and lead leaders and rigs and so on then I can start thanks for the review
@@Warlock56789 thanks for watching! 👍 I had the workbox but I still found myself taking too much terminal tackle due to how much space it had! My updated tackle box is perfect and has just the right amount of space 👌 But it’s all personal preference buddy! Tight lines!
@@thenortherncarper251 indeed buddy I think Nash makes nice gear I like it I am also a huge sportex fan I'm going to buy me 2 12 ft rods from Sportex for the big waters My Nash rods are for narrow rivers with a maximum width of 40 meters close to me there is a river where you catch a lot of carp, not large ones of 5 to 10 kilos, there are much larger ones on the river, but they are difficult to catch but I'm happy with the small carp it's fun to catch For me it is not about the size of the fish but about the pleasure of catching it Regards
Great video stripped everything down last week and managed a few hours at the lake. Set up & packed down within minutes. Didn’t catch but at least had the lines in the water with a couple of chods on. 👍
It’s the way forward mate! Sack taking the whole house with you 😂 I’ve seen lads doing multiple trips to the motor for gear, just to set up in a random swim and not even found the fish yet 😂 Choddys and ultra lightweight kit and find the fish! 🎣 Thanks for watching dude!
@@tommylewis8042 thanks for watching mate, currently I don’t as I don’t really care how big a fish is, just the situation I catch it in and what it looks like 👍 I do own a set that fit perfectly inside the rucksack if I need them 👍 when I’m fishing for big fish!
Find 6ft your struggling on some casts i have got the sonik insurgent far better than scopes had 10ft scopes got rid for 12ft then i tried my mates insurgent omg no need for 12ft rod ever again
@@aarondavies8486 yeah I find they are limiting with regards casting but I’m always on the move so I like them, with a 2oz lead on I’m casting to 17 wraps which is plenty! I have the 10ft xtractors which cover me for everything else 👍 I’m a mobile angler and the majority of my fish come from within 4 wraps! 👍
@thenortherncarper251 had the xtractors found them way to soft but for the price they are good yeah I don't fish far but alot of snag fishing I found 6ft just hasn't the power to pull big fish out the snag but that's why there is 9 and 10s tbh
Sorry but the best tool is thinking anglers scissors they have puller stripper hole for the hook and the scissor all in one and a workshark feild sharpener
@@jasonrenshaw9010 yeah I’ve tried elastic bands but the two sections still rub together! These clips form a complete gap 👍 especially when they are in the boot of the car getting chucked about they make a difference! Tight line buddy and thanks for watchig!
John Roberts did similar using a kind of glow in the dark plastic for 11ft and 12ft rods ,approx 30 years ago ..They had to be clipped together carefully or damage ensured was an expensive mistake for my mate snapping the tip off of a Bob Morris ,Armalite ...😢
@@josephquinn7356 thanks for watching dude! I usually just chuck a few bottles in the side pouches and snacks in the top section! When I’m using my ultra mobile scope set up, I just chuck it all in the recon rucksack 👍 plenty of room!
I stay mega light and mobile I have 10ft 3.5tc scopes. I use them everywhere my local which is a small weedy mere edge fishing to linear fisheries B1 and 2 fishing at range 30 wraps
@@BIGGGESTAL thanks for watching! This mobile malarkey isn’t for everyone! Don’t get me wrong I occasionally sit in front of the rod because I just want to relax 👍
Great video - Have you done a rucksack contents video for ultra mobile fishing? This is my nemesis as I have sonic extractors, with their extractor net but end up with a rucksack that needs a forklift to move around as I can’t decide quite what is essential to take
@@accesszero4803 thanks for watching! Over time this works out much cheaper and I get sharper hooks thank straight out of the packet 👍 thanks for watching!
Not sure about no chair ! But other than that looks a good compact set up. I carry way too much stuff. I’d like a link to a good quality telescopic landing net handle !! I still have solid 6fts which are a pain !
@@jamesscott9922 yeah I think for me it’s gotta be the Nash scope black ops net but that comes with a price tag! I think Sonik do a compact one though 🤔
@@thenortherncarper251 yes I watch for a single reed stem to move Anything to get an edge Or head up the other end from the match types banging their noisy method feeders in
I went from a barrow full to doing most of my fishing off an ebike, made me depressed as now 95% of my gear doesnt get used and you realize how much you dont need.
@@mattiparker14 brilliant! Glad you found a bargain! Fishing is one of those hobbies where if you have a lot of money you can easily spend a lot, on the flip side you can do this on a budget. Thanks for watching 🤛
I take rods tackle bait Matt and bank sticks that’s it as I live in oz sometimes it’s hard to access banks due to over grown trees on the banks I could use a kayak but we have bull sharks in our waters where we catch carp so I’m to scared to paddle a kayak
@@thenortherncarper251 sorry man I was talking about our rivers full of bull sharks , dams and lakes are free from bull sharks but I wouldn’t trust swimming in them as people catch bull shark and then as a prank they dump em in lakes and dams thinking it’s funny it rarely happens it has happened in saltwater lakes same with people. Who have crocodiles as pets once they get too big they dump them in our waterways they can’t survive in NSW too cold for crocs stupid people
@@TonyChurch112 RU-vid sometimes suggests videos based on your search preference. Unfortunately I don’t have control on how RU-vid suggests videos. It maybe because I am currently based in the West Midlands 👍 thanks for watching though
I bought the sonic s3 rods on the recommendation from frank Warwick I got just to put me on as my tackle was stolen 6 years later there still my number 1 used rod absolutely awesome gear in the sonik range the s3 12 ft 3.25 lb TC is all the rod you need for day to day fishing might have to buy one of these wee fellas for storking fish in the margins and if there as good as the s3's then won't be replaced ever tbh
