Although VRoid is beginner friendly, I still was struggling a bit with the hair and outfit editing. This tutorial helped me better understand the hair editor a lot.
With several hours under my belt learning by testing, watching other tutorials, and making my character based off my OC, seeing it possibly come together in an hour caught me off guard. I cant wait to watch it all the way through. Thank you very much Argama! uwu (Oh no, is uwu cringe now?)
i almost gave up today with vroid because i was not getting the desired effect.. and there are million videos for every specific thing which is overwhelming. this is a good start to just practice everything and then move on to exploring it deeper later! thank you for this video!
I am a Twitch Streamer. I'm also a Furry which y'know, doing vtuber stuff would allow me to use my Fursona, instead of myself, to stream in the corner. It would give my community something to see while I stream. It's all kinds of confusing right now but this seems beginner user friendly. :D
Thanks so much! When I was looking at other tutorial videos, I thought it was like learning adobe premier all over again. Then when I watched just the first 15 mins, all of my sims experience came rushing back to me
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this and all of your tutorials. I was so close to giving up on V-Roid and attempt to use V-Katsu which is just a simple game character creator, but your tutorials helped me learn the program and now I can't imagine using anything else.
Thanks for your introductory lesson in Vroid! I just downloaded the software because of your good tutorial(s), especially the creation of hairstyles I find very interesting here, the hairstyle layers and also the hair animation are a great thing for me. I mainly use Blender, for textures Substance-Painter and most of my 3D work goes over to my UE4 hobby project.
I wanted to try making my own model, and have been spending hours in Vroid with your videos by my side. I’m enjoying learning so much and as a beginner, have made insane progress in just two days thanks to your videos. You are so clear and concise. I also love listening to your past live streams while you’re doing commissions. I enjoy your sense of humor 🖤
This video really profits from being played at 1.25x speed, I usually don't do that but it feels like a much more natural talking speed there so I do recommend it.
Yeah, sorry I was trying to go slow enough so people can watch what I do as I do, since when I talk over speed arts they sometimes miss what I'm doing.
@@ArgamaWitch That's fine it's actually super helpful! haven't watched the video fully yet cause I had a power outage xD But definitely think if people want to do like me and watch it as it's own thing 1.25x speed works very well! But making it slower to follow easily is valid too. Wasn't a criticism of the video just a friendly tip for people that'd otherwise be put off by the speed =p
THANK YOU!! I have been trying to get into VRoid but I couldn't find any good detailed videos on how to approach it, you laid everything down so nicely and easy to follow I'm happy making my first model
ive tried vroid on my own before and was totally lost. tried again with your tutorial and omg tysm. I made my very own avatar and Im so proud of myself. Your a godsend
These tutorials are amazing. So much helpful hints for a beginner, you're not only saving us a bunch of $$$ but you're helping us dip our toes into avatar creation. Thank you so much!
OMG thank you so much, I legit was having so much trouble with the program (mainly cause I suck at using stuff like this) and for the longest time I had no clue how the hell I could move the texture around just off that one thing you helped me so much
Thanks, this video is very useful. More useful than most tutorial on youtube that said "no skill requirement" but 5 minutes into the video, i already burn my brain Lmao
First impression of Vroid: Oh so it's like making a character in-game Now that I watched this video: Of course it's easier than blender but holy fuck, there are so many options and I am not good with the artistic side.
~glances at my Steam auto update install of VRoid~ Cool, I'm half way done with this tutorial ^^ I think the hardest part about drawing hair is that the root tends to float above/beside the head after I draw a stroke. That, and the hair stroke itself is like working with the snake hook sculpting brush in Blender.
i'm using this tutorial to give someone a vtuber model for christmas! Although i'm having trouble with hair and clothing atm since it's vastly different than the options that vroid has.
Thank you so much for this! I am gonna turn my character into a VTuber avatar. I will follow this video to help me learn on how to do it. And I will do this step by step!
hey im really new to this and dunno much but I've been learning a ton from you. So even if you don't see this just know, I'm really thankful and it means a lot :)
This video is so information and you seem so nice that you have earned a sub! Thank you very much for the effort you put into helping inform the community.
tysm for this! i myself am a artist who only works in 2d, so i've been having a lot of problems myself with textures and also doing hair and stuff... this really helped! :D
This video was quite helpful to help me prepare a model, the only problems O have (they only happen in the tracking software, which is VUP) are: wonky shadows, eyelids closing quite low
I dunno if its just me but when exporting and loading into something like VRChat. The walking animation seems to have the bones slightly tilted inwards. So when you crouch your legs clip through each other. I don't know if you know anything about any of that but any direction would be great
Uh I have a question. From now should it give you a female preset with yellow hair and a pixie like outfit with limited things and no way to get clothes?
Theproblemis I am trying t omake my beautiful character with a really hard sweater like It has initials and cool shapes like triangles on it and letters so yeah _How to do_
I've a tutorial on making clothes but sketch out the design on the model, then export that texture and take it into an art program to create it, it gives you more tools and options to make more complex outfits
There is a texture tab you can change skin tone there, or import your own. You can change the waist size which is really the ass/thigh size. You can't make the lower legs thicker.
this is such a cool tutorial and I'll definitely be trying this! is there a tutorial I can find when it comes to applying the avatar for streaming and stuff? I think I've got a good grasp on how to actually make the character now but I'm not sure how the process works of having it capture my movements and all that
Thanks for the video. I'm in the process of making my own avatar, and the only problem I'm having is making my clothing look good without resorting to too many alters on the default clothing for what I want the character to be. I'm new enough as it is, and I'm no artist by any means, so I very nervous about altering the default textures more than I want to even with an undo button. At the very least this let me figure out the basic way of working it.
I'm Trying to make a greed skin from Binding of Isaac but I can't actually make the body due to me not being able to edit the starting model itself, I'm able to make the body shape i want but just not able to edit the stuff to make it look like greed and also unity just doesn't want to work help.
i am struggling so bad. for someone who gets overwhelmed with settings etc quickly this makes it so hard for me to create the person i wanna create .-.
would there be a binfit to picking a female model to start from & make a male avatar from it? Or starting with a male model to make a female avatar. I wanted my avatar to look more feminine but still be a man. Pink hair & rainbow eyes & a w-mouth all give the model a sort of gay impression. Makes me wonder if thre is any down side or up side to what you start with & if you can do what I am thinking
Female avatars have an extra expression, male models have a bit more jawline options. Besides that, I'd stick with female models even for males unless they are particularly boxy
Thank you so much! This Tutorial is what i needed for getting started with Vroid I have one question. Can we create the Clothing like Cape or Cloak for the characters by erasing some parts of the clothes as you did. I got an idea for this.... When you were erasing the clothes
@@ArgamaWitch Thank you so much for replying so quickly. It looks really great. I'll look into those programs. I've been learning 3d work and really like the cell animation look and really appreciate the info:)
Hi! I can’t find much, but is it possible to import characters into VRoid studio? Like from hub or something? Because I had so much fun on mobile version and would love to just give her other clothes. ~~~~ I hope there is or will be some way :p
