Needs a little camera banking at turns, don't you think? Nevertheless, an awesome tutorial especially building in all those 'imperfections' to make it so real.
I've been using blender for the past 5 years and I can say I'm pretty good at it. Yet somehow, I ALWAYS learn something new from your videos, no matter what. Your workflow is incredibly creative, I adore it ❤
Dude, this is awesome! I fly fpv and I've been looking for a way to realistically recreate fpv footage in Blender but haven't had any luck. This changes everything! Thank you for this tutorial!
Tip.. you can show camera path once you baked in the animation (property panel / object / motion path).. so you can see exactly what path the camera is following to allow you to arrange the trees without guessing where the camera would be during the animation.
The movement is a bit odd because the drone doesn't tilt towards the direction of movement. In reality, the only forces acting on a drone are gravity (and air drag) and thrust perpendicular to the drone. To move the drone on the horizontal plane the drone needs to tilt to vector the thrust on the horizontal plane. Maybe a solution to improve the animation would be to have the force pulling from perpendicularly above the camera object and have the 'look at' set to be offset by 90 degrees. Then the camera would tilt when the force object moved and would accelerate in the direction the force object moved proportionally to the horizontal offset from the camera.
I wonder, if you can add a banking movement to the camera rigg. The stable horizon is giving it away a bit that it's not a fpv drone...and though I have done similar already, I never figured out a way how to get to that banking (other than manual keyframing) that is basically proportional to the sideways acceleration of a drone...
your the only one awesome bro ,because you only thought me how to render my animations ,these many daays i have done many beautiful animations but i dont know to render it even 😂😂😂😂,i done that all by tutorials only😜😜
Awesome tutorial as usual, result is looks real thanks for video. Which software you use for recording tutorial as a teacher I want use that fauture that you used at 25:19 (drawing arrow)
I think you've watched very little FPV from looking at this motion. Usually, the drone tilts in to the direction of the yaw. That way, it can use the propellors a lot more efficiently and turn faster. A drone that's sitting horizontal can only yaw slowly as it works by differential speeds of the counterrotating propellers. The actual thrust is wasted. At an angle, a difference in thrust can actually be used. 👍 Edit: Criticism aside, I do appreciate all your expertise and sharing these awesome tutorials with the community. Cheers!
Is there smt like a offical blender court that desides if methods like this or geo nodes r better? I know "bla bla bla, it depends, everyones personal preference bla bla bla" no easy answers here, But long term vise in 5-10 years when blender is industry standard it will be more likely to do stuff like that in geo nodes right?
When I add the Follow Path constraint, the empty completely fails to move to the Bezier Curve. I'm doing literally what you're doing in the video, step by painstaking step. Can't find any rhyme or reason why mine is doing something so completely different. Possibly the biggest frustration with Blender, the program rarely does what's in the tutorial.
I don't understand this, why do I have a problem every time? When I make the camera I added follow the road, the camera disappears. I fix it up to a certain point, but it works broken again, then I save all the transform options, but the camera disappears again, what should I do?
I might even have a go at this. Amazing content. It boggles my mind how you work this stuff out. I did your burger animation and svg logo animation with some success and have them on my channel. Thank you.
Hi. I have a question... at 5:04, after i >object>rigid body> add active, the cube doesn't fall to the ground. I've followed the steps and still to no avail :( I'm stuck in that step and can't seem to make the camera follow the camera POI..
I would like to know how to do this on the after effects camera. Making a complex path just "drawing it" exactly as you did, and make the camera fly through it, but in after effects, instead blender
Finally, I've wondering how i could do this after watching you showcase this in your Photorealism presentation at the Blender Conference. Thanks for the tutorial!
Great video! Could you maybe do a video where you combined your knowledge in hyperrealism with camera tracking, for example record in an enviroment and add a car later? Either way great video! 💥
This is an incredible tutorial! Very detailed and pretty long tutorial for a drone animation. But I like it, thanks for showing us this tutorial to the world! 😀 Edit: "You should also add the tilt rotation for the realism of a real drone"
I like the post processing and camera movement, but... It doesn't look like forest, it looks like an orchard or randomly placed trees. I think the final result would be much more realistic if you used some reference
This is so great, BUT it's missing something vital to make it fool an FPV pilot. Every fpv drone is constantly "tilting" forward and backwards to go forward and to stop, however, in this case, your animation looks like it was a blimb, with a forward/backard rotor. I think you nailed it on the BCON presentation, but this automated way doesn't accounts for that part of flying a drone. Just wanted to mention that. Great video ad always! BTW, im curious to find out if it can do powerloops.
Great video but i'm suprised that i thought i have 4060 laptop and it can render more great and time efficient but if ony 480p video took 25min then☠☠☠
I am a beginner at Blender and really enjoy watching your videos. So maybe someone can help me. I tried at a Blender forum but got no help. I use Blender 4.0 and use OpenImageDenoise as denoiser. Please tell me how I can activate "Tiled Denoising" - so the OpenImageDenoiser denoises each finished tile while the GPU starts rendering the next tile instead of denoising the whole 4K picture and in the process almost grill my CPU. Thank you very much!
I used to build and race FPV drones and this definitely looks and feels like it did back in the 3cell days. Even ending the video right before it looks like it is going to hit a tree. Great work.
