Lakes are everywhere, we have several right in town (Lynchburg) and I spend quite a few of my pre-work mornings pestering the bass, panfish, and stocked trout that live in them. They're accessible, have a wide variety of species, and you can pretty much always get something to eat when you learn where fish hang out.
The technique I break down in the video has undeniably helped me catch fish, and it can do the same for you! It bears similarities to a dry/dropper rig, but is designed to be actively retrieved through the water. That "active retrieve" can look like stripping in a lot of line as fast as possible or, more commonly, snail speed. Inch by inch creeping the flies back to you.
This two fly rig will give you another tool in your arsenal to trick fish - wherever you live!
