Where do I get the 3D model of the building to import? I know we could make one, but that defeats the purpose of having it there to aid in the mission. And, the structure im looking to fly is 180 metres tall, I can't find any setting to set the correct altitude. I can set the GSD, but that's trial and error, messy option. How do I set a fixed altitude?

Thank you for your question. Since it is quite complex, one answer from us here could turn out not to be enough. Please, drop us a message at support@ugcs.com and let's talk in detail.

This feels like the middle of the process. I work in new construction so how do I scan a building that’s footprint is still a forest on Google maps?

Hi! For scanning a building that is not yet built you can use the KML import feature to import the borders of the building into UgCS as a 2D object (white line on the map). Alternatively, you could first do a photogrammetry mission from a higher altitude, process the map in UgCS Mapper and import it back for more detailed flight planning.

I have a question , is it possible for me to use vertical scan mode with Dji L1 LiDAR ?

Hi! Yes it is. To enable LiDAR scanning you would need to add a waypoint before and after the vertical scan tool where you turn on LiDAR recording using the action.
