Several of the episodes that really impacted me growing up were actually from cartoons: "What's Opera, Doc?" The Viking opera skit with Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd "Day of Destiny" the S1 finale of Sailor Moon "Ages of Pan Pt 1&2" the finale of Fox's Peter Pan & the Pirates Each of these episodes dealt with the main character (and sometimes others) dying which was a very dark and heavy topic to witness in a kids cartoon and I loved it. Another episode is "Nothing to Fear" from Batman: TAS which dealt heavily on the fear of not meeting the expectations of others (especially parents) and had the iconic line "I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman!"
Favorite Sex and the City episode is the one where Carries talks about her abortion fromw when she was much younger. She was asked about when did she get over it and her line was "Anyday now." I thought that was the best response ever to a difficult question. I've borrowed that line at least once to respond to the same question about things I went through.
Avatar The Last Airbender's episode The Guru. My first full-on exposure to Chakras. It somehow felt illegal to be seeing this on tv in America, but the point i want to make is that It's exactly what I needed. I can't be the only one. Hi
I think it's time Zachary.. That you make small film shorts of horror stories.. (Collaborate with Ian.) Show us what you can do... You sound so passionate about it! And I believe it's time to do it.. Your generation has so much opportunities with these free platforms, to make your mark in life.. Not like back then! When writers and directors couldn't get their stuff out there with out backers and a bag of cash.. (Right now is the time).. And maybe both of you will be discovered..❤ I will definitely be a fan!.. 👍
Appointment television Zach, I miss it too. But I'm a little old school, so i still have my weeklies like 911 and 911 lone star to watch in that style.
Zach, I can't believe you're talking to your best friend, Ian about all the TV episodes from the past on this video during the episode of "Coffee & Tequila" at your house in Texas, one of my episodes is the Wedding episode of Ian and Mickey from Shameless, I'm proud of you, tha KS to your husband, Alastair and you had the Southern accent!!
Being 59 and still in the closet there's a lot I've missed but after listening to Ian's "adventure" maybe I'm doing OK. My favorite episode: Schitt's Creek: Patrick and David's 1st kiss. I'm a huge Patrick fan. This episode showed possibilities. Love you guys. Ian, you look good for your age. 😉
A lot of mine go back pretty far into the past, like the finale of M*A*S*H and the “Two Cathedrals” episode of “The West Wing.” I’d also agree with Ian’s choice of the final episode of “Schitt’s Creek.” More recent episodes for me would include the last episode of the initial season of “Heartstopper” and season 3, episode 9 of the Norwegian series “Skam.”
Morning Zac old tassie boys here,my morning has been a little hazy, even with a couple of strong coffee's,but chin up and on we go,love your show, and hope you guys are doing well❤🎉😊.
I feel ya on the allergies, I live in central Florida. Allergic to everything probably even the air. I take Flonase spray during the day and Montelukast at night.
Before I mention additional nominees for memorable episodes of television, I'll share that, like commenter Jared Draper, when I think of Bugs Bunny, his opera episode with Elmer Fudd shines as a cornerstone of clever use of musical drama as comedy with its "Kill the waaaaa-bit, kill the waaaa-bit, kill the waaaaaaa-bit." I also find memorable, not in any order -- Sesame Street, when Mr. Hooper died; American Horror Story: Asylum, the Bloody Face reveal (I wasn't prepared for the drop); Torchwood, series (season) three, the opener with the creepy children's "chorus", and that same season's Ianto episode (I was BAWLING); This is Us, how the first episode revealed relationships; The Haunting of Hill House, The Bent Neck Lady episode; AND the strip poker episode of Three's Company. Oh, how I wanted to peak over the edge of Jack Tripper's cardboard box!
Okay, well, I'm 57, so hearing about your list was a little intimidating. There's the finale of M*A*S*H; the finale of Friends (when it really sinks in that it's the end of that era); a Buffy episode called 'Restless' with the Primitive stalking the Scoobies in their dreams; a variety of Twin Peaks episodes which includes the entities of the Black Lodge; the Will & Grace finale with Jack and Megan Mulally singing 'Unforgettable'. For people of a certain age, we could keep coming up with items for weeks, lol. I wondered if Zach has seen American Horror Story:NYC--- the main characters are gay men, and I didn't see every episode but it looked really amazing. 😃😎😙
I agree with Ian about the TV Show, The Magicians, it is worth watching. Have different picks for favorite TV episodes. All In The Family, thec1stvepisode. It showed a blue collar working class family living in a house like mine that had a toilet in the bathroom, people that talked like me & people weren't pretty & perfectly coiffed. The best series finale ever, Bob Newhart had two successful sitcoms the 1st.The Bob Newhart Show, The 2nd is Newhart, both great shows , but the series Finale of Newhart the best ever, for those of us who are a but older than u two, will know what I am talking about. They relate both sitcoms in the finale. Not an episode, but just got hooked on School Spirits on Paramount, about a teenage girl who is murdered, her spirit trapped on her high school grounds , she finds the spirits of others who died at the school & tries to find out who was her murderer, they drop a new episode every Thursday.
I forgot to say I have been watching a utube tv show done by adventuresofzandb. I hate the idea of picking episodes but loved the early lives as they were so real and in the moment, loved the we got the vid as the players demonstrated love, willingness to tease, share made me cry, loved the wedding where I met Chris Stapleton, loved the proposal, the return of Alastair where I heard a Taylor Swift song (had never listened to her before); song was lover. Just so the producer knows he does well
I happened to be sitting thinking what’s up tonight: you guys popped up how bloody nice. I just watched the 10 episodes of the night agent, which i for some reason really enjoyed. Tv shows for me cause I am older, Mash….Star Trek….currently the last kingdom…..usually concepts that end up meaning something to me is around comradeship, commitment, intelligence….game of thrones worked all of that for me cause I hate treachery….for some reason didn’t love the romance stuff I think because of the way I chose to deal with being gay in my younger years. Zach u know I enjoy your productions Ian great addition. 💕although I thought you were going to make me go back to my phsyco therapy work lol….be well, stay well: wishing you guys and of course Alastair the best always.
Ian!!!... Your so cute! You need to go on a Gay Cruise with a few single friends and have a Blast!.... 😂 You'll be surprised! how many great guys you will meet. (With out baggage and B.S).. 😂 ❤️
