Have you seen the CD for this album? It comes in a plastic sleeve with black stripes on the front. If you take the liner notes out, they are strange looking and striped. If you put the liner notes inside the sleeve and slowly move them, it becomes an animated display. In a time when most people download most of their music, it's refreshing to see a band reward people who still collect CD's.

Something about these lyrics makes me think of Talking Heads. "I'm a happy idiot, waving at cars" sounds like such a Byrne lyric.

Recently discovered this band via the local indie station here in Louisville, KY. Am a semi retired musician / songwriter, and must say that your group has inspired me immensely to return to the stage. Your music is well written, well played, and you have one heckuva producer.... your sound is immaculate!

I listened to this once. I went back to working for two hours. All of a sudden, I headed back and listened again. Then again. Then again. Then again. I've fallen in love with song, and a true rarity, the music video as well. It is shot so well too. We've got Pee Wee Herman and Karen Gillan, and the Speed Racer vibe, everytime he loops the track it's like we learn a little more about the song, and how the lyrics fit the music video. It is such a gem. The more I listen to this, the more I love it. It's in my music library now too. I'm trying not to spoil myself as I tend to by listening to a song a million times a day till I despise it, so I'm rationing it as to enjoy the most. Such a gem, can't believe haven't clicked on it till now.

It is to my immense embarrassment that I have to admit to NEVER having heard of TVOTR before this week. I happened to hear this very track on a radio while getting breakfast burritos! It, and the album it's from - Seeds - are now being constantly played by me. I'm absolutely in love with this sound. Better late than never, right?

This is one of those rare songs I heard over and over on the radio and never got sick of it! Like there was never a time where I had to put it away for a while and then dust it off and fall in love with it again. I just always love hearing and singing along to this.

It amazes me how one small part of a song can really make the song whole...the part where the female voice goes "Hey, hey, hey!!!" just really makes this so damn catchy. Oh, and Karen Gillan rocks that cheerleader outfit.

This song....Man this song...amazing! I can't get tired of it, and it says so much!

Haven't listened to TV on the Radio in several years; glad I looked to see what had come out since.

Can't get enough of this song, I just keep repeating it. Kinda reminds me of Peter Gabriel's Shock the Monkey a bit, the quality of it. I love the vocal trade off between the verse and chorus. I want an extended version with more of that! So good!

It feels like every song I listen too from this band is pure gold. I rarely say this but why is this band not bigger? It all started from DLZ from breaking bad and since than i've been hooked.

Wow, this is one of those songs that I never tire of listening to and one of those videos that I never tire of seeing.

TV on the Radio is a grace to sound systems all over the world

I'd heard this song a few times and thought it was okay, then I heard it in my car and was blown away. Adebimpe's voice is simply magnificent with it's tones and undertones (you need some volume to best appreciate it). It doesn't hurt that the song reminds me of a period I went through following a lost love where I actually was a happy idiot waving at cars to keep my mind off her.

That beautiful moment when one of 'your' bands puts out something new.

Tv on the radio 💟 i have seriously played this song like everyday since it came out. I love the video because she is right there with the guys while they know whats really going on, its like dramatic irony, and shes trying so hard... .they see that she loves him,but he has to keep doing what matters to him, and shes literally at times warning him, protecting him, but he keeps going the distance... Which is around and around, instead of taking notice. I also like how her team is like her but shes also partially not , which enables her to do other stuff. Hes going for some kinda something but it aint gold. But also theres this other view the way that they are the mind . Shes always in his thoughts. But hes content with whatever else hes doing. Thats good enough for him.. Now im going to go listen to "careful you".

This tune has such a 'Men At Work' vibe to it- in a really good way.

Slugging along in horrible traffic en route to a dance recital with my ex, we were rerouted in the opposite direction by public workers.... I convinced her to bail out of the car so she could walk to the recital and see her girlfriend perform, while I sat through the traffic, completely missing the recital. This song came on soon after my ex started walking. It was my first time hearing it. "I'm a happy idiot." Yep.
