Because this history is part of our Eritrean struggle for independence that has mostly being forgotten by many. As Eritreans, especially the younger generation, have not had the opportunity to know and learn this vital Eritrean history of our forefathers who sacrificed everything for our existence as Eritreans and for Eritrea to exist and stand as a sovereign nation. Unfortunately we lost many of the great Eritrean leaders and fighters in the past 63 years who could have narrated all the great events that took place during those years. And Antonio Tesfay is doing his part to document all these historic Eritrean events, while we still have the time to get first hand knowledge information from the few and aging Eritreans who participated in those momentous times. For many centuries since the existence of Mdri-Bahri, the land today known as Eritrea, its history has been systematically destroyed, books burned, artifacts and sculptures stolen, facts and truths manipulated by many foreign invading armies. Now is our time our own history our own way! Thank you Antonio Tesfay for being on the forefront of recording and safekeeping Eritrean history as we have lost too much and too many already. Every Eritrean should also help with this sacrosanct mission to keep and pass our Eritrean history for generations to come.
