I am suddenly 12 Years old again and my mum and Dad are still around 😢😢

And suddenly my childhood is coming back to me. It's such a shame shows like this don't get made any more.

I never watched this show, but I'd watch the opening every chance I got.

Jim Diamond from aged 16 played and sang with all the rock and rolls greats like Genesis, ACDC, Gerry Rafferty, wrote for top American rockers, lived with them in the sates, Billed with The Sensational Alex Harvey and countless other great bands back in the day, discovered by the legend Father of British Bluesman Alexis Korner. Jims unique one off voice suited Rock and ballads, he became so much of peoples lives and memories a very loved musician all over Europe, The States, Britain and of course Scotland. He did achieve greatness in his musical life backed by everything from rock bands to swing bands and full orchestra's and is greatly appreciated by the legends of music and by the common lad and lass in the street who actually knows what music and personality is actually about. Keep an eye out for the shadow of the horse in the moonlight night!! RIP Big man and Thank You

Incase anyone was wondering, the Cinema in this intro is Scala cinema in Ilkeston. It's a beautiful building and is still a working cinema.

Used to watch this on a Sunday night when i was 10 years old. Great show and great song.

I remember my Dad watching this downstairs whilst I was upstairs having gone to bed.. I used to ask him to turn up this soundtrack because I loved it. I just heard it for the first time since I was a kid and it takes me back. Dad passed away in 2019 and this makes me so nostalgic, happy and sad too. Good times ☺️🙌💫💫❤️

By far the best theme song for any series ever made. This song was the reason me and mates went home to watch this ehrn it was on. Great series but it was the song that attracted you to it at least in you're youth days anyways. Jim diamond you are a legend and will be sadly missed!

Every time I see someone with a black leather biker jacket I say "Rocky" to this day. I was born in 1972 and left school in 1989 and it was the best time ever to be growing up. Technology had started to become more widely available and was actually enhancing our lives not like today where it's taken over our lives. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

What a fantastic singer Jim Diamond was.

True. They always show old TV series' like this in great big chunks so that they don't last the way they used to when you were a kid, but if they alternate them a bit more , like showing several over the course of a day then the series will last longer and they won't run out of content so quickly. It's a bit of a shame the old Bravo channel went bust or something coz they used to show a lot of old TV shows like these

Excellent TV show. I was allowed to stay up late and watch it with my mum, and Minder with dad. Good times. They filmed it in Derbyshire and I can remember seeing the film crew sometimes.

When the itv regions used to make there own shows before the government decided to franchise the network. Central TV made some pretty good shows if you forgive them for Crossroads which started on ATV.

Good old RU-vid comes through again. I used to love this show when I was younger, hard to believe it was around 86-92. I was 14 in 86. I've been catching some re-runs on Sky telly and I have to admit we had some great TV drama back then, no mobile phones anywhere, haha.! It prompted me to do a little web search on the show and I had totally forgot Michael had died in '02. Thanks for a great TV show.

They been playing this tune more on radio Jackie London Station. And yes I havent heard it in ages. But once I heard it I had to play it about 5 times its a top quality tune. The theme tunes on tv programme where so good back in those days that after the programme they would often annoce that the record is available to buy in all good record shops coz they knew people would ask where they could get the music from.
