In Season 6, even though Caroline forced Stefan to switch off his humanity with her, He's spiraling again and leads her down a deadly path when her switch is flipped. Caroline was content to be emotionless, but he made her hurt and kill people, adding more remorse and body to her conscience. She was going to regret her choice to flip the switch anyway, but he made her reckless and murderous in a way that would hurt her even more. Caroline's lack of humanity might have served her better if Stefan hadn't been part of it.

So much is in wrong with that line, Damon and Elena by far are the worst couple of any TV show ever written, it's fine for them to have a fling, 2 brothers 1 girl, she was always going to taste test them both at some point, but for them to end up together is so fucking wrong, Damon and Katherine because they r the male/female version of each other they get to burn at the stake together, Elena lives happily ever after with someone from college, Stefan and Valerie or Stefan and Lexi, couldn't really care about anyone else
I find that the writers have very badly managed the plots and the relationships between the characters, especially that of Stefan and Elena. Stefan and Elena were the heart of the show and they were kindred spirits and Julie Plec ruined the relationship Stefan and Elena had by driving them away from each other. Stefan and Caroline were better off as friends then, she was a second choice and she deserved better than being a second choice.
I don’t care what anyone says Stephen and Caroline are way better match for each other. Both care so much in their own way but they are so loyal and supportive and giving.
