Theres definitely something wrong with the engine TVR isn't known for its reliability thus it's probably got a decompression issue or what on the engine because the motor trend or old review of TVR'S are actually super good and devil fast
@@Dukes3677 sometimes it won't work. Then you have to screw the numberplate holder off and pull a cable behind it to remove the rear window. Then you can crawl into the car and open the door again.🫣🫣🫣
@@Ben_Mayall yes, we had lots of TVR's but not my favourite. Tamora was in it too. I always enjoyed the handling on the T350. Hope they come back to gt7
I cracked up laughing watching the owner strap up his helmet in the middle of the lap and seeing his reaction once he got it strapped up was even better lol
I got to drive a Tuscan with the 400hp Speed Six engine. An apt description would be "A death trap that sings to your soul." Ridiculously fun car to drive.
Something definitely seemed off with the suspension or tyre setup, as I have never had tyres rubbing on the body of my Tuscan. It is a different body but the chassis is basically the same. I do have Nitron suspension on mine though, plus a modified 4.5L Straight Six engine which is crazy.
love my T350C. Sagaris is my dreamcar. Put in some Nitrons, make a proper alignment and it drives properly. Absolutly crazy how long the way of the throttle pedal is - i tell everybody it`s some kind of traction control...
T350C is in my opinion best of the bunch. I owned mine about 20 years ago and drove it daily for 3 years and regretful sold it as I needed 2 extra seats. Never let me down and the only issue was a crack in the radiator. Always gave me a laugh and that included seeing if my passengers could work out getting out. .....oh and there was the tendency to not want to refill the car ithout clicking the petrol pump multiple times. My third TVR (previous owned a cerbera and chimaera). Enjoy it
@@chrisgoldsmith4397 refueling is a pain in the a.. indeed. Tank filler neck is kind a cool, but you have to do a carwash afterwards cause no matter how cautious you are, fuel will pour out all over the car... Love everything about it. It´s a keeper for sure.
Tell you what Misha, I’ll bring my cerbera speed six over. I’ve ditched the shit, heavy spider alloys seen on this, and my springs are 500 front, 400 rear and fully adjustable. Take that round.
oh wow an ACTUAL TVR. I never thought in a million years I would see one out on a track. One of the rarest unicorns of racing. Thank you for sharing this. Love the paint and interior too.
It was as fast as a zonda around the top gear track. So its either misha or the particular car isnt set up right. From hearing the owner, it sounds like nothing has ever been refreshed. Bet he hasnt changed any bushings or refreshed the suspension.
What’s the idea behind the speedometer anyway? Why isn’t it like an ordinary one with the full numbers without the zeros missing etc? First time I’ve seen one like that
Officers saying “ you went a little fast there mate.. license and registration please” the driver “ naaa officer don’t think so you worry it does 20 tops “
First time I've seen Misha scared of pushing a car to its limit. Says a lot about this car really, 400bhp with no ABS or traction control? That is wild.
My brother has four of 'em, from V6 Ford to V8 Rover to the straight six, and he's done the 'Ring', me jelous? , nah ... (he said lying as it costs me 950 quid for my modified insurance one one car, and he has all four on one policy for half that ) 😣
@@RobsCars Tuscan (brand new), blown engine after a week because of failing oil pump and dealer that said: 'probably the sensor failing, you can drive it to us.' Month later (with new engine) again an oil light. This time it was the sensor. Doors that don't open, carbs out of sync, so undriveable when cold. Dashboard underlining that falls off, exhausttips that got loose every month. Awesome car, but a headache
How will a helmet protect you? Depends. If you oversteer a corner and smack into a guardrail, you could very well hit your head on the doorframe. Lost a friend in 1995 to that very same scenario. He was only going 30mph by the time of the impact.
what a beautiful car to look at. shame it drives like a 3 wheeled brick. for what its worth i'd buy a gr yaris or 'rolla (either of which would smoke this thing) way before i'd touch something that is obviously poorly engineered.
The Sagaris is really the best of the TVR's, way more sorted and the build quality, fit and finish was way ahead of its predecessors. As an older bloke used to zero driver aids its a blast and I had the pleasure at Winton to fang around for 4 laps in one. They take concentration at speed and are twitchy as hell but mine was set up for track use and the pedal set was adjusted for it as well. I was invited by the owner to take it around Bathurst on a track day but couldn't make the date sadly but I felt it would excel in that track configuration. I fully understand why Mischa took it easy as its a handful :-)
from the RPM response to the throttle (especially last 10% throttle) i would suggest looking in to the cars ECU ... something is bothering the fuel mixture ... it looks like it is not running with optimal spark timing or something in this ball park thumbs up for the owner and Misha, great content and really nice to see such car in for a hard drive
To the owner, why the hell would you bring a german a tvr that isnt running right ffs? As a fellow Brit, you let us all down. Sort it out, In fact, no British owners should bring him anything. He's always hating on anything that is British.
Some Nitron shocks and change the wheels and it should be miles better. TVR Spider wheels are rubbish, super soft AND super heavy. A perfect bad combination. But I do like a Sagaris! The T350 was my favourite TVR though (but for looks Cerbera!)
TOP3 best designs Ever: -McLaren F1 GTR (with Nick Mason paintjob) -TVR Sagaris (with these sideward pointed exausts) -Cobra 427 Superformance honorable mentions: Porsche 993 Turbo, Mazda RX7 FD, Honda NSX R Targa (gen2) but they need "personalisation" ^^
A little bit like AlfaRomeo, every TVR has its own unique bit of not-working-properly. In this Sagaris, it was the aircon. Sadly, in most Cerberas and Griffiths, it's the engine. Or the transmission. That straight-six sounds great, though!
@mgcharoudin , TVRs were set up to be compliant on pot-holed English B roads without spitting their buyers into the hedgerows. I'd be interested to know how old those shocks are, too. It's pretty unsurprising that id didn't feel stable on track. There are owners who do set their cars up to be more track oriented. I for one would love to see you driving a lap in one of those cars. Nevertheless, i really enjoyed you dropping this video a couple of days after i was wishing for a TVR on your channel.
12:51 - Emotion wise it's something different! - You haven't driven TVR's before then? - No, it's the first time! ...2 min later 14:49 -it's something else! -You haven't driven TVR's before? -It's the first time! I thought I accidently rewound the video XD Absolutely love the design of the TVR, it's giving the middle finger to everything we know. Exhausts pointing sideways, transparent wing, single bubble on the roof, wild looking car! I wonder if going for the koni shocks and eibach springs will improve on the handling?
It was as fast as a zonda around the top gear track. So its either misha or the particular car isnt set up right. From hearing the owner, it sounds like nothing has ever been refreshed. Bet he hasnt changed any bushings or refreshed the suspension. Remember, those springs and dampers are 20 years old.
Ross ... You didn't have all the Grey hairs (Hair & Beard) when I sold you the car 7 years ago :) .... Please he liked my engine bay mods ... Zircotec and Shinney bits ... and all my polishing ...Unfortunately i needed the money for my new house... but still have my 4.5 Tuscan Vert and V8 Chim for fun :) ... Keith
Everything here is 100% british bizzare design. This speedo with 10 which mean 100 mph. The reversed rev conuter with orange, green and yellow indicator that start from left, then right, then middle. lmao. This doesn't make sense at all.
It was as fast as a zonda round top gear track. They are not terrible to control. His one is just one that isnt running right (slow af acceleration. Its 380nhp per tonne, does that look like 380bhp/tonne in the video? no way in hell. it aint running right) and old suspension (20 years old) and probably bad alignmint. Garage queen car. In the video he says ''since the lotus project started'' so obviously this one is his sunday drive car and he doesnt drive it hard enough to even notice it snot running right. Listen to him literally praise the power , when its running terribly. He's obviously clueless. Take that tvr to a proper tvr specialist and they would transform it.
I was driving home from the Nordschleife on the autobahn and one of these (or maybe it was a T350C) passed by me going the same direction. The sound was startlingly awesome. This video audio does it zero justice.
That engine sounds amazing and the car itself looks great and is fairly contemporary looking even now. I reckon if that Misha had felt more comfortable, it would be one of the fastest cars on the track that day. I hope he can get the suspension upgraded at some point and he brings it back for round two! 400+ hp in something that light is always going to be special.
After watching…….and reading the replies, the overall theme seems to support the fact that this car is a……..freak…..waiting to find a place to crash. Misha was certainly on high alert and did not get overly comfortable with this one. Very wise.
Big respect for that, dont know how you jump into a car so strange like that and drive faster than most would. Would like to see you set it up properly suspension wise
Do your ears get pressurized when going through certain elevations? I'm not sure I'm familiar with the elevation of the entire track. For a track nicknamed "green hell" I find it very heavenly sometimes
It was as fast as a zonda around the top gear track. So its either misha or the particular car isnt set up right. From hearing the owner, it sounds like nothing has ever been refreshed. Bet he hasnt changed any bushings or refreshed the suspension. Remember, those springs and dampers are 20 years old, bet he hasnt ever had it aligned. Probs mostly some garage queen just used for a quick sunday drive.
The suspension was set too soft, the sound was the tyres rubbing in the wheel arches. Hindsight is a great thing, but a full geometric setup done prior to this would have given Misha greater confidence and yield with the car optimised a faster and more thrilling lap than we saw here.
This car is an absolute masterpiece of art and fury. But, it's also a black swan: the last model produced by TVR and at the same time, the best model ever get out by Blackpool
