This looks like a lovely usable Tam, Ive had my swordfish Tamora now for 18 months and I couldn't ask for anything better for what I want my toy to do. A few things that people will always ask about TVRs for sale: does it have an engine rebuild, respray, retrim and chassis. Each of those is about a 10k bill but there are soo many specialists out there who know these inside out. 3.6l engines are less likely to need rebuilds (as long as warmed up properly) and engines from 2004 onwards are more reliable as well. (My 04, 3.6 hasn't had a rebuild in its 33k mile life). Looks like its had a retrim as those seats are just too perfect to have come from factory. Same with the nose, these stonechip far too easily to have kept in such good condition. Looks a great car for a bit of minor recommissioning and then a whole load of enjoyment! (The Tamora believe it or not is known as the tame, everyday TVR... the others are just bonkers)

Never heard of this TVR either. I knew a guy who had a Chimera back in the 90's, that thing was wild and also sounded amazing. Their interiors were always lovely. Electrical work was not their strong point, tho.

Looks in good condition. I've had my Tuscan S for over 3 years and it's been pretty reliable but you do get some odd quirks especially electrics like the passenger side internal door switch works intermittently and get error codes in the dash but nothing wrong mechanically. Good luck with the sale

I had a tvr tuscan r once upon a time. I was 19 with a 4.3 litre, 0-60 in 3.9 car. You got nearly 20mpg if you went really gentle on the throttle 😂 what a monster it was. That car tried to kill me every day. Such a difficult car, even the door handles were near impossible to find unless i told you 😂 i loved it. Had it 2 years, put 16k on it, never broke down. Had to be the only reliable one in the uk. Sold it for exactly what i bought it. Sold it for a 1999 toyota supra. Car prices were so much better back then!. And fuel costs meant you could go a bit nuts. If tvr ever seriously started again though, I'd be straight to blackpool to get one.
