12 is THE Doctor in my eyes. He has been wonderful. I don't want him to go! Thank you so much Peter for giving me the gift of 12! Song: Arctic - Sleeping at Last
Twelfth Doctor was absolutley the most "Doctor-ish" Doctor. The way he looked and talked. I will miss daft old man. After he goes I can only hope that someday in my life I'll meet somebody who will love me as much as Doctor loved Clara. But that doesn't matter. We are stories in the end, just make this good one...
Oh Peter I will miss you so... Let me just say... I absolutely adore the direction the doctor came these past 3 seasons. While many harp on the importance of Clara but imo the show for once really focused on the Doctor himself. His inner dialogue, his inner turmoil, his inner care always in conflict with his perception of the universe. It was brilliantly told and brilliantly acted. Time has made this old man cold and rough on the exterior but still inside he can truly see beauty. He struggles with this conflict and it makes him question himself but in the end he realizes he's exactly what he needs to be. A kind old traveller just trying to help. One who has seen the worst in people while valuing the best. One who is just kind... Man I'm gonna miss Peter. He really captured my vision of The Doctor.
This is just...wow. I didn't think I'd grow on Peter when I first watched Deep Breath but now he's my absolute favourite Doctor. He's MY Doctor. And this tribute is so, so beautiful. Thank you.
I'm in tears. He was such an amazing doctor. Witty, insensitive but he cared so deeply for others. He loved Clara with all his being. He forgave missy. He always forgave despite how much it hurt to do so. He only did what he had to.
Tyra Grace he's my doctor and always will be my doctor he's been fantastic from start to end and this xmas is going to be emotional and heartbreaking ( for me anyway )
Tyra Grace oh yea he's my doctor! Matt was my doctor forever since I loved his goofball and serious moments but Peter is The Doctor anybody who says his episodes sucked are crazy/wouldn't know a good story if it knocked them over the head.
A fitting and superb tribute to the 12th Doctor. Peter Capaldi will quite rightly be remembered for being THE Doctor, everything I personally ever hoped and wished the character would be. The hardest act to follow.
That Brown Eyed Girl link was damn clever of you and gave me chills. It suddenly makes so much (more) sense, after the impact Clara had on his life, that the Doctor felt he should honour his best friend with a nod to her brown eyes and strength. He knew that a female incarnation could never be an insult. And he's chosen eyes/a face that will remind him of Clara's incredible spirit, just as he chose Caecilius's face to remind him to 'just save one'. Beautiful work.
I thought when Peter Capaldi came out as the doctor I would hate him. He was older, and grumpy. I didn't know how much I needed this until I had him, and I'm sad to see him go so soon. He will be more missed for me than 11&10 combined.
I grew a lot with 12, just as he did also. It is Sad that his run is ending, as all things are when they end, but, as he told us, Be Happy for the new that is to come!
Peter Capaldi, you made us SOAR further, you made us RUN faster, you made us FIGHT harder and best of all, you made us hold on in the show SO MUCH LONGER....thank you...so much..doctor
I really lilked Matt Smith as the fun Doctor but WoW Peter Capaldi From "Deep Breath" onwards what presence what charisma what anger what sadness all the emotions rolled into one and also the best character development of any Doctor to date, Sir you will be truly missed you are and always will be my Doctor, If Jodie Whittaker is half as good as Capaldi then we're in for a treat
@@druid5023 Agreed who would of known how bad it would become but there you go benefit of hindsight and all that, At least we have the previous episodes to enjoy
@@corncob2183 Surprised you replied so quickly haha. Yeah the old eps are a treasure. I just finished a complete rewatch of NuWho with some friends and I swear it gets better every time.
Man that was beautiful. Capaldi is... just so breath taking when he has those amazing moments and speeches. I don't want to see him go. He was such an fabulous doctor. Thank you for makin this tribute.
What amazing tribute video. Over the course of this summer I rewatched all of modern who and wile watching Eclesston-Smith I kept telling myself I wanted Capaldi's doctor to come quick. After finishing his era I never knew how much I loved his doctor till I kept crying at the end of Doctor Falls and his regeneration. I also loved 12 and Clara's relationship and I will forever keep crying at her line: "Don't worry daft old man I'm not going anywhere".One last detail I loved about Capaldi's hair grows each series (Didn't realized his hair meant to be his character growth at first) In conclusion 12 will always be my favorite Doctor no matter what
Lovely tribute video. Twelve is not only *my* Doctor, which he is, but I agree - he is *The* Doctor! I think Jodie will be great, but I'm so sad to see Peter go. Thank you for three great series
you havent even seen her play the doctor yet so how do you know she will suck. the only way that will happen is if the writing in the series is complete rubbish. dont knock something until you've tried is all im saying
God i love Twelve so much! When i watched Deep Breath, i didn't like him as much as i do now. But Peter amazed me in so many ways and to me he's the best Doctor! He taught me so many great things and I'm grateful for it. I miss him so much, I can't put it in the words. Thanks for an amazing tribute!
Nice tribute, thank you! I feel like all of the incarnations have been building to a crescendo, to their zenith, you might say, with this one. As The Twelfth Doctor, peter Capaldi has been, truly, magnificent. He has shown us in such a short time, what the Doctor is made of, what he stands for, who really he is, more brilliantly, more completely than any who came before him. He brought so much depth, emotion and wit to his portrayal. He isn't just playing the Doctor, he is the Doctor. 12 became my favourite, very early on I will miss him so very much.
Cliff Lewis thank you so much! I completely agree! He was magnificent. Peter is like.. I can't even describe him. He is out of this world. Especially in this role. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he was a fan of Doctor Who since his childhood, so he knows what he should embody. He knows the doctor, he is the doctor. 12 is so human, and so alien, and so humble and yet deserves the universes. I love him so much. Peter changed something inside in me. He changed the way I think, the way I behave, and with his relationship with Clara, the way I see TRUE LOVE. And I don't even know him personally!
i seriously love 12's speeches, his voice and expressions just fit them so much. i live his and Clara's relationship this is really well made crongrats dude
Not to diminish the others, but Peter Capaldi put all the knowledge and experience of his years, plus his knowledge of the character from childhood, into his Doctor; something Christopher, David and Matt didn't have, but will later on. There's a bit of William Hartnell's standoffishness, a bit of Patrick Troughton's and Tom Baker's whimsy; there's a bit of each Doctor in his performance, yet his performance stands on it's own. It has power and tenderness, anger and love, defiance and the surrender of "Doctor, I let you go". And he had the wonderful Jenna Coleman to work with as Clara. Her performance as she had to adapt to his Doctor is underrated. Having seen some of each Doctor, Capaldi stands as my favorite. Jodie had some massive boots to fill.
Peter Capaldi is and always will be The Doctor no matter what! He is one of the best if not the best Doctor in the history of Doctor Who. Every time I see him in any episode he nails it 100% of the time. I honestly believe he is now my favorite Doctor and in my opinion the best Doctor ever!
Such a brilliant tribute and I love it. When Peter was announced in 2013 I was skeptical but now he is my favourite alongside Matt Smith. He is such a perfect Doctor and he definitely has the best acting out of all of the Doctors. This tribute was beautiful and probably the best I've seen.
Angela McCafferrty I don't think anybody is. He's an incredible Doctor. Maybe the best. And he hasn't had nearly enough time. Not to mention how bad Moffat's series writing has been.
Looking back I remember when Tennant left, then when Smith left. All being echoed with Capaldi leaving... Both the good, and the bad. The Doctor may change his appearance and his attitude, but he will always be the Doctor, and we will always remember who he was. Or in this case, who she was.
I've enjoyed every incarnation of The Doctor so far. However I fell that this incarnation (as well as the Colin Baker incarnation) has been very underrated. A conflicted, tortured, morally grey and often cold character with a heart of gold. This is a character of many contradictions, which would never have worked without a talented actor at the helm. This incarnation needed someone with range. Peter Capaldi was amazing!
My brave old Doctor! My friend since childhood. You were never cruel, or cowardly. You were always ready to help and ask nothing in return. I could always count on you to cheer me up. Growing up watching you, I learned that violence is never a solution, and that you should always help others if you can. I like to think that part of who I am comes from watching this show. Thank you my old friend.
I am so gonna miss Peter, he's ridiculously close to beating my favourite doctor, Paul McGann. Oh my God this special will be ridiculously sad, his Doctor was so amazing. He actually spent his time like a hero, a genius, a doctor rather than just snogging girls and joking around. A doctor to treasure forever. Thank you Peter! 😭✌️
Peter Capeldi, you made us SOAR further, you made RUN faster, and best of all, you made us hold on in this show SO MUCH LONGER.......thank you...so much....doctor
Peter Capaldi has been brilliant to watch, he has displayed more of the classic character traits of the Doctor from the original series, just how it should be, rather than the 'boyfriend' types of recent years. Peter has definitely been the best of the new bunch. He echoes the mysterious alien characteristics of the Doctor many of us grew up with in the 1960s, 70s and 80s or alternatively, caught up on classic DVDs and he absolutely nails the character to the core. I wish we had had one more series from him in 2018. I'll be sorry to see him finally go come Christmastime. Nice tribute video JCF. Best wishes to Peter.
Omg, I missed this tribute, I'm the worst. THANK YOU SO MUUUUCH I think i just didn't want Peter to go... Same with Clara actually.. Well, thank you, again ^^
Wonderful tribute!! I have to admit when Peter Capaldi started I wasn't sure about him. Then as time went on he became my Doctor. I used to have a hard time choosing one but not anymore!! I will miss him so much. Yet as the world goes on so must Doctor Who!!
Peter will always be my Doctor. He's given his heart and soul to the part, combining a bit of classic Who with new Who and then making it his own. Like you said, Peter IS the Doctor.
Directors, writers and actors come and go but I will always remember when Peter Capaldi was The Doctor. I will always remember Clara and The Doctor. Thank you Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.
Wow!There is a lot of scene that i forgot and you just make it awesome. When i hear the song i said ohh again this music because i ve seen a lot of dw video with this song but you made this song awesome with the regeneration.
Kutalp Yavuz thank you! Yes I know lots of people use songs from Sleeping At Last but I was looking for a beautiful song and I believed this melody fits Twelve so nicely. It's like a constant rising flow of emotions
i love every doctor from original to modern and the companions, friends, etc and do my best to not compare and love them for thier own tiny quarks. however peter is my favorite he embodied the prime of the original and fused well with the modern. not only that the episodes and characters where given so much depth. plus the modern re-introduction of the frienemy (the master). I am glad he made it adamant he wanted no love intrest with clara i like thier relationship, love bill and nardole too. bonus it was probably extra well acted because it had much of his real personalty.
When we still had good doctor who. you will be missed 12 you deserved to stay longer! You never really know how much you love something until it's gone. You may have left the tardis but not our hearts. You and your attack eyebrows will be missed, we will never forget you!
This gave me the feels. Peter Capaldi is my Doctor, and he always will be, till the day of my last regeneration. He will never ever be forgotten. He will forever, be placed in our hearts, as the Doctor
Peter Capaldi is a tremendously breathtakingly wonderful character role actor not just for playing out the Twelfth Doctor on Doctor Who but for his other parts he has played in the past as a actor such as on Torchwood's Children of the Earth episode gonna miss him something terrible but will always keep his classic stories as The Doctor within my memories of him that made me an official Whovian such as Series 8's Listen & Series 9's The Magician's Apprentice & Series 10's Smile because each one gave me a even better appreciation for him as the star
most doctors have a scene where they're standing in front of the TARDIS and the door opens to the amazement of a companion. But when 12 did it with Bill, everything just felt right. He WAS the doctor. He still is. As far as I am concerned, Capaldi is to nuwho what Tom Baker was to classic who
I believe there is no "best" Doctor. Every Doctor was amazing in its way, from the beginning to now. Every Doctor had great stories, great adventures, good and sad times. Capaldi was amazing in his way. He's a formidable actor, some of the scripts were not up to his acting but he made it work somehow. He's a good Doctor and I'll miss him quite a lot, like I miss the ones before him.
