I'm on the hems of my Baseline Cardigan and it's been the most fascinating make I've made in a while. Given the combinations of sizes and lengths and necklines, I'm so impressed by this pattern. And, surprisingly, it's a very addictive knit for something that is essentially miles of garter in the flat. Thanks for another fun 12 cast ons series! I'm looking forward to seeing your progress ❤

Oh that is great to know, thanks for sharing your experience with the baseline I’m even more excited to make it now: I managed to pick up some fibre that I’ll spin for the contrast colour while I was at East Anglia Yarn Festival years so as soon as I finish the traveller shawl spin I will start 😃

Lovely to see all your cast ons all together! You're going to have some fabulous finished objects aren't you? I've already had to frog a couple of things I'd put in my 12 cast ons plan. Sometimes you think a certain yarn or pattern will be perfect and when you start working on them they're just not right. But I've had no trouble filling the gaps!
@YarnNYarns

Thank you Mairead. I enjoyed gathering all of the projects together too, especially as I spread the cast ons over a longer period of time this year it was nice to get reacquainted with the first few again. Yeah it’s a shame when that happens isn’t it but not every project is destined to be

Hi Ange, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast and all of your Cast Ons. They all look amazing. 🌟🌟🌟 I don't know how you manage to find time to fit everything in. 🤔🤔 I decided as I was so close to finishing the Shawl from last years Cast Ons, that I've decided to carry on with it in between my Spin to Weave🧣 project and my Fingerless Mitts. 🧤 The Handspun Yarn for the Eyelet Border on the Shawl is the reason why I'm carrying on with it, so that's my bedtime Knitting. 🧶 Hope you've had a Wonderful Weekend 🌞☀️🌝 Happy Spinning and Knitting Special Fibre Friend 🎡🐑🧶🥰🌈🌈 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Big Woolly Hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐑🫂🫂🫂🫂🐑🐑🐈‍⬛

I'm working on socks, a usual. 😊 I'm making a pair for my daughter now out of leftovers--I'll post a picture of them on Instagram. I've got one of the 'Waters Edge' socks done. And I recast on my 'Violet Cap', because I bought a plethera of Chinese angora yarn. It had purple in it, and that made me mych happier than the gray.

Lovely to see them all again, glad your Mo Jo is back! Since January I have finished two pairs of sock, knit my spun Corriedale into a hat and cast on a shawl.(Kelso) I have also spun and plied 200g of glorious grey Corriedale that I’m still deciding what to do with. Retirement means I get to make All The Things! Jan

I always am so thrilled when I see a new video from you pop up in my RU-vid feed. I love casting on with you and hearing about all of the projects everyone else casts on during that time frame. I wish I was better at photographing and documenting my projects, I just don't seem to get to it, or I do take a quick photo, but it gets lost in my phone with newer photos overshadowing it. As always my secondary goal (to finishing all of my cast ons) is to knit more grams out than in. That said, I did buy quite a bit of yarn at my twice yearly secondhand textile sale, so I REALLY have to step up the knitting. I also fell off the charity mitten knitting last year, so I really have to get more than the dozen I knit last year done this year, dare I challenge myself to two dozen pairs this year?
@YarnNYarns
@YarnNYarns 5 месяцев назад
Aww thank you so much Celeste for your kind comment as always, you made me smile so thank you for that 😃🥰🧡 I seem to be the same with my photos at the moment, I was having a look at my Ravelry project page the other day and noticed how many projects I’d not taken finished photos of yet. But hey the making is what brings us most joy, the documenting will happen or not depending on how we feel 😃🧡 I’m also trying to keep note of grams in and out this year too….i went to a yarn show yesterday so my total isn’t looking too great at the moment but hopefully will get better as the year goes on 🤞🤞

So nice to see everything all together. You have some great knitting ahead of you Ange!! I haven't even posted on IG about my cast ons yet 🤣. Was watching and doing my 4 daily rows of a long term wip I recently pulled out for Finish It February. Love the pattern (Grotine) and yarn, but it's been on the needles since spring 2019 I think. Then I'm starting something else. And I might have cast on another pair of socks the other day too. Because why the heck not?? 😂
@YarnNYarns
@YarnNYarns 5 месяцев назад
Hehe you can never have too many new cast ons, and socks are a small project so they barely even count, right !?! 🤣🤣 Hope you managed to make lots of progress on your Grotine
@gemmaf_
@gemmaf_ 5 месяцев назад
@YarnNYarns It took me 8 days of 4 rows to finish it. 🤦‍♀️ Now it's somewhere waiting for me to tidy up the bind off and weave in the ends.
@YarnNYarns
@YarnNYarns 5 месяцев назад
@gemmaf_ woohoo well done for getting it done. Although if you’re anything like me it will probably sit there waiting for several months before the ends get woven in 🤣🤣

Hey. I am just back from tibet and can properly use the internet again. I just finished my floof cardigan from the cast on list. I watched your videos while driving by loads of cute yaks. Now I got yakwool and antique tibetan spindles to try out. I had the same question what happened to last years 12 cast ons. Happy there will be a video about that soon. Have a great day
