Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun don't know i exist. at the concert i was just another unidentifiable face in the crowd. but somehow it's like they're your best friend. tyler writes in a way where its as though he's talking to you. they just feel close even though we've never met. i love that about this band.

I'm so mad at my mom right now. I had such a shitty day. My crush asked out my best friend Rachael so I had to listen to her talk about they were staring into each other's eyes and were touching hands. I failed a test today. And when me and my mom got home, she said that she was in my room looking for something for some reason and she found a piece of paper that I wrote the rap part of Fake You Out on. So she was basically invading my privacy and rading my room. Then she went on saying horrible stuff about twenty one pilots and that the lyrics scared her. Now I see why the lyrics would scare her, but after I tried to tell her about the band, she still hated it. She almost ruined the song for me. I have been very depressed lately and none of my friends or family will understand. If you actually read all of this, thank you. Stay Alive Frens I-/ Edit: I haven’t listened to this song in a while. I read all the comments and you guys, the clique, are the nicest people ever. I’m doing ok. I’m still best friends with Rachael. She still likes the guy lol. I'm not sure what this song really means, but to me and how it relates to my life, I think it's talking about how even though you may act happy around everyone else you can be totally sad on the inside. It's like you're putting on an act everyday or "Faking everyone out". And when you try to tell someone, they say that you aren't alone, and that it's ok, but you end up feeling worse and breaking apart. You're always afraid of what people will say so you just stay quiet. You are constantly fearing that you won't live up to other's expectations, and what they "see inside". You feel imprisoned in a cell and you can't let your feelings out to be "free", but there's no one to talk to, or someone who will take you seriously....

Man. I don't know. This band has so much meaning to me, It's insane. Tyler Joseph is such genius. His song lyrics have so much meaning. Their songs are "worth listening to", but if you pay attention to them, and understand their message, you'll truly understand what this band (specially Tyler) has gone through. Some of their songs might sound like happy sounds, but that's because the message isn't as obvious as you think. And that's why I love so much this band. They express theirselves in music in such a beautiful way, I can't even. About this song: (Tyler quotes" “Lyrically it just talk about what it talks about. It’s hard for me to explain it. . . . It’s really about just putting on a facade for people. You know I think about being on stage, trying to look cool. . . . I’m trying to look cool just so that people think that, like, I’m worth listening to or something. This song kind of touches on how we constantly have to, like, lie to people about who we really are. And it gets dangerous when you start lying to yourself. And so I like this song ’cause it’s a moment of honesty for me.” So Tyler is trying to tell that we are constantly lying to people about who we really to make them like us, and it's a moment of honesty for him. Also, in the song "Run and Go", Tyler says "I'm not the one you know". Each song has a connection if you think about it. Even in "Car Radio": 'sometimes quite is violent" and in "Fake You Out" he says, 'And silence gives you space". I can explain these connections (kind of). The first line of the rap: "It's the same game today as it always is" I believe that Tyler is trying to say that his struggles and insecurities are still messing around with his mind, and instead of hurting him phisically, it hurts him mentally, because he keeps thinking about the mistakes he have done in the past. And the last 2 lines of the rap: "Before you walk away, there's one more thing I want to say Our brains are sick but that's okay". If you actually understood the song lyrics, then you'll know that this is a very dark and an emotional song, but, when Tyler says "Our brains are sick but that's okay", he’s saying we need to not lie to ourselves and we need to be careful about faking others out too. I love all of their songs, every song is my favourite. I'm so glad I was born in twenty one pilots era. Thank you Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. Thank you.

Yes it would help but we should normalise mental illness as not something to exterminate but something to embrace while you have it.

I love how upbeat this song is but how sad it is as well. He's trying to express his feelings in the lyrics but the song is giving off this facade of happiness when the truth of the matter is it really isn't. He isn't. This song represents my life in a nutshell.

I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I listen to this song, I feel really safe and secure. It reminds me of driving at night when it's raining, and everything is really quiet and calm, and you feel good inside. Idk, that's just how I feel :)

I swear that no one apart from Tyler Joseph has si much energy playing the God damn keytar.

Tyler has such an unique voice and its incredible, and combining this with his beautiful lyrics makes it hit me so close to my heart.

There's times when this black cloud hovers over my head 24/7 this black cloud gives me endless, unbearable thoughts and also reminds me of the bad luck and darkness I have to face. Listening to Twenty One Pilots lifts that dark cloud away just enough time for me to breathe, those thoughts are still there, at the front of my mind, hitting me all at once but Twenty One Pilots are fighting against those fucked up demons in my head. I need their music just as much as I need oxygen.

underrated BOP

Favorite tøp song b/c it's the very first song I heard from them. Yes, I occasionally heard stressed out on the radio, but then I didn't really know or care about tøp then. I was looking up my favorite song, bulletproof (la roux) & found out somebody remixed the 2 & I watched it. I loved it. I didn't care about them until a few weeks ago when I got bored & decided to look up them. It's been a while since I first heard the song. I found this song in may of 2016.
