I feel like tyler had some type of revelation when the interviewer said "true perfection has to be imperfect". It was an oddly emotional moment to watch. I feel like he's the type of person, like me, that sets personal expectations too high, making life so stressful and demanding. I can never seem to accept failure, and I feel like me and tyler both learned, from this interviewer, that being below average is OK, it's more than OK, it's perfect.

Yo, he did everything short of cracking open a Bible and citing the verses that lay the groundwork to his philosophy and theology. What a guy. That portion on the lamp and being the best brother or father was one of the simplest, but most phenomenally brilliant explanations of mankind's sin nature I've ever heard. Holy freaking crap. An interview with a punk rap techno emo artist is challenging me in my faith. He's just sitting there answering band questions, but oozing Jesus the whole time.

+Tselel Strange, but I never get the jesus/bible vibe from any of his comments or lyrics.. I'm not religious, but I find his comments/thoughts to be those simply of a human being (like we all are) just trying to make the most out of this life that he can, and find true joy along the way.
@Tselel
@Tselel 8 лет назад
Obsessed Twibrarian That's part of the beauty in how he writes. Once you dig deeper into certain subtleties, Christianity (or at the very least some sort of faith) becomes more and more apparent. The main thing with Tyler's writing is that his faith is his main source of hope. It's most apparent in Vessel to me with the lyrics of Ode To Sleep, Holding On to You and Car Radio (most notably the faith vs sleep train of thought). Blurryface is literally the name he gave his own personal demon(s). He's one of my favorite type of artists in that he is able to sing and perform these songs that are very much hold his faith at many of their cores, but people pick up on the feelings of lostness and pain that drive that eternal human search for hope and joy. A further appeal for me, personally is that he isn't coming at it from the stereotypical Christian music perspective. He comes at it with the goal of writing music. That's why you get songs like Lane Boy and House of Gold that are just about the stuff that's been going through his head and mean something to him. The struggle and hardship in the midst of having a solid source of joy to rely on reflects the lives of a great number of those who are religious. All that to say, when you look into his lyrics closer, it's very Christian. That isn't to say it's just for Christians or the religious. It's for everybody who's ever felt how he's felt and wanted to find joy on the other side of it.

I've watched plenty of interviews of Tyler speaking by himself but this one has to be one of the most touching and thought+emotionally provoking one.. I felt everything he said so deeply to the point where I started crying because I understood him so much. All I can is that he's a blessing to this world and I am so so thankful for his existence and to be able to be alive at the same time as him and be able to listen to some of the things that run through beautiful mind that are just gems to hold on to. He's just the purest soul 💓

Well that's where the beauty of him is. No one is fully aware of their potential and capacities, ever but the fact that did not choose to hide under o rock and keep all to himself, that makes the extremely interesting person that he is.

Tyler seems so content, he is such a deep intelligent person but rarely gets to engage deep meaningful convos because society is so damn superficial and non comprehensive to anything that's true deep soul searching truths , you are the man you we're put on this earth to be, trust the clique on that one .

No, now I read; It's a.. much of people who cried on TØP interviews,and me too. I think.. twenty one pilots is just something special. And it's really the only band in which I can show my emotions. Their every song in me makes emotions which at that time was experiencing Tyler. ( which are hidden in the song). I don't know what to say. But i love them♥. For a long time for me to mean something more than just a band. clique♥

I don't write comments. That being said, what an incredible interview. I heard a piece of car radio and I was hooked. What an amazing band. What an amazing songwriter. You are successful because you are a voice to those of us that feel like you. It is so refreshing to hear depth. The shallowness of our generations music makes my feel as if we have failed. I hope you are leading a revolution of music. I really hope people get to know what music is supposed to sound like through you. Thank you for being you.

It's the first time that I can say that I've finally found a band that speaks to me, you know.. like, I can relate to everything they say in their songs! And Tyler's the most amazing person. Everything he said in this video is so relatable.. he's helping me a lot, and he doesn't even know it!

i just find it so sweet how he says he doesn't know if his success and purpose will come from his wife he's going to have or the future kid he might raise. Six years later he's married to jenna and they have their adorable daughter rosie and i think that tyler's truly beginning to now find part of his purpose. I believe as time goes on and he raises rosie to be an amazing young girl and eventually her own woman he'll feel truly successful and like his purpose has been fulfilled.

This imperfect person answered the interviewer's questions, in my opinion,...perfectly. His responses were clear-simple yet so profound, enough to make sense. I'm sure we all have felt the way he's felt and he put them into words ha effortlessly. I have to say my hands were on my head as if my mind was imploding through the whole video. I can't get over the interviewer's questions and his responses.

exactly...his words are deep/emotional and inspiring! I am crying because he is showing me the things that everyone including myself is missing out on. He makes it seem like messing up and failure is not horrible as we think as long as we reach our version on success.
