21 Pilots is the most incredible musical artist I’ve ever heard!! They do they’re own thing and their own thing is a masterpiece

The mental struggle and wrestling with suicidal thoughts, perhaps urged on by that roaring lion, the devil? Will he let that lion win? NO! He will Fight, and if he can, so can we! He always has multiple layers of meaning. A Master of Metaphor.

Of note, this song was from the same album as Car Radio, and taken together, I feel like he's saying he has a lot of dark thoughts and doubts, but he's also saying that if you the listener have dark thoughts, at least you're not alone. TOP quickly became one of my favorite bands as they were gearing up to release Trench. Another neat thing about Tyler is that he's gone on the record as saying you can't interpret his songs wrong. I think they mean whatever you need them to mean to you, and what he intended when he was writing them is only part of what they mean. It's why they end every live show with "We're Twenty One Pilots, and so are you."

Love this one, but "Live Room" version is better, IMO

A lot of their songs have a religious context.tyler has also said he's struggled with his faith. The line "my pain will range from up, down, and sideways..." it's like when catholic make the cross gesture when praying. Love your videos btw

the song is about the battle in his head with depression, anxiety, etc and letting people know they aren't the only one who could be dealing with those issues - the lion is basically a representation of his mind and how battling a lion can sometimes seem impossible but he's not just going to give up on his life and let the lion win (aka kill himself)

Great reaction! Migraines are more akin to neurological disorders like RA & fibromyalgia rather than standard headaches (neural pathway issues rather blood pressure issues). As someone with chronic migraines & depression, I do wonder about the connection between the two. Both can be exacerbated by stress and/or hormones (migraines can all stem from allergies & weather fronts). I feel this song because of both my experience with migraines & depression. Therefore I love the hopeful end, the part about killing your mind to stay alive & taking time for yourself to let go of pain. His lyrics are an excellent picture & I’m happy to have discovered this song.

21P is one of my top fave bands, along with Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, and Imagine Dragons. Will watch all reactions to those. As far as rap, will watch all Eminem, LD, Joyner Lucas, Big Sean, Dax, and NF.

Ohhhhhh. I got it. Lol. Sundays are his suicide days and sometimes you have to kill your brain to live and then he says we should take a day to take a break from all the pain our brain has made. Sunday's are his days of rest. Now I understand the comment about the other lyric representing his religion. I wasn't catching that before.

I can not stand when lyric videos get the lyrics wrong. "Are not what's growing in my psyche: It's a different me, a difficult beast feasting on burned down trees." Like honestly what the hell ass is "A difficult to be stop feasting lumber down trees" supposed to even mean? And it doesn't even start at the beginning...

I love twenty one pilots. All songs about mental illness. Particularly anxiety, depressing and suicidal thoughts. I connect with their music so much.
