I’m new to Kpop, and I just decided to listen to this after watching the feels video. Let me just say, every single thing about this album is a masterpiece. You can hear the 80s 90s R&B and funk/disco. A retro feel like Dua Lipas album. It’s amazing
Agree! For me Red Velvet are unmatched when it comes to the best B-sides but Twice is close and have so many bangers! Especially this album had some different songs and great surprises like the 3 subunit songs, especially Hello!
One of the best thing about TWICE is they don't just stick to same old concept like the others.. in MV and music.. you have a lot of choices to listen to depending on your mood.. upbeat, emotional, city pop, jazz, fierce etc.. the more you listen, the better it gets.. versatility queens indeed!
that instrumental solo in 13:04 and 14:05 makes me so emotional like how say something instrumental solo made me felt. cruel and say something will surely be my fav songs overall

I think i can confidently say that this is my favorite twice album like all the songs are so unique and beautiful from the production to the vocals to the rap...everything is absolutely amazing And i thought silk sonic would have album of the day🙄
my thought for this, maybe they didnt really try to go hard on the title track since this is a full album, and they want to show every song is worth listening to like a title track and maybe they thought that it will be redundant if they made it up-beat since "the feels" was just released weeks ago. all their b-side slaps so hard. they're just literally balancing the songs and for me, its really a strategic move to do, and you'll appreciate and realize that if you really look into the production and the ideas they are letting it out there.
Moonlight is one of my favs from first listen. Brings back old-school vibes like you said. Alot of the younger peeps might not like it but it's my jam.
Moonlight was probably inspired by El Debarge's "Rhythm of The Night". Listen to the rhythm section played with the linn drum machine and percussion. When "but all I want tonight" is sung in the pre-chorus, it sounds like the first bar of Bruno Mar's "Treasure".

This is Twice's strongest album imo along with Taste Of Love. This album is full of retro from synthpop to citypop to nostalgic rnb to nu disco with richer lower vocal registers throughout the project like this is Twice.

icon & last waltz are genuinely some of the best bsides ive heard in a while!! the only song from the album i’m not really into is probably hello, the lyrics really throw me off it feels like an itzy bside
Im not a ONCE but I do love some of their bsides and title tracks, this album is so good! So happy to hear more of their real good vocals. Im glad JYPent has been working alongside with their abilities this time. I also loved the production on this album and its mixing.

Hearing Momo, Nayeon, Sana and Mina all rap on this album was amazing! And Chaeyoung too really got to hear her rap a lot more on this album which was nice!
I think JYPE are still trying to headline Twice comebacks with the love and romance, they've only differed from that with Perfect World as their latest Japanese release. I agree that Scientist is one of their most barebones title tracks and like Cruel more, but Cruel is about a much more complicated relationship dynamic.
I really think that SCIENTIST was a bad decision as title track, is not a bad song but definitely this album have a lot of better options, all the b-sides are so good
@@sandyl8454 I think twice is at the time where they do not care about title tracks and views anymore. Theyre mostlikely going for Album sales and proper album songs so I think its a win win tbh
@@wigipaigan8182 that does not make any sense 😭 good title tracks are almost solely the only way to attract new fans from the GP, they had a HUGE pool of REALLY good songs to choose from to be the title,,, and then they chose scientist,,, which was completely outshined by the rest of the album

I work for music, I help compose and little stuffs on producing and I can tell you that what does Twice NEED right now. Do they need MORE fans, need more recognition? Like what more do they need, theyve been at the highest. Like to be titled as "Nations GG", thats the peek. If youre a music fan as a general like you listen to every song of an album then you understand whats their goal right now. Im a big fan of twice since Sixteen just dont mind my Profile simping on AOA Soelhyun but im a Once and also a musician. If you notice Twices 2021 comebacks, full of new sound, new to them but still has a Twice flavor. Either Korean or Japan comeback ITS DIFFERENT from Kura² to A-F to Perfect World to an English Song and then now. NOW, Alcohol Free got the highest Album rating for Twice + sales. Perfrct World got tons of sales at Japan and legit bside songs. The Feels which is an English song to get Western Audience and now a Full Lengthy album with English songs from english composers. Are you not seeing this? JYPE is not aiming to release good title track songs but releasing title tracks that are so-so for the casuals but the ALBUM itself is a banger. Now I remind you that these Western producers are freaking legit, if I was JYPE why would I waste money for western producer just to produce a bside song? Now you get the point right? Twice already at peek, theyve nothing more to accomplish. Their goal rn is to be the best selling Album GG for a long duration and for me as a musician its a win-win. Releasing a so-so title track is just fucking lazy of him, More people are going to listen to and buy the album if the title track draws them in, but some of the casual listeners are sadly gonna take one listen to scientist and be like “eh” and never check out the album. see i know i can trust you to either catch the subtle shit or at least listen attentively!! like mina's part and that "iihiiiiih" after chaeyoung's rap in icon had my brain melting (you killed it btw) and yeah chaeng had some bars fr on that one. knowing that one of those "crue-ue-ue-uel" parts was sana kinda blew my mind on first listen
I agree. Scientist is cute but not tt worthy. It’s kind of underwhelming. Other tracks from the album - Cruel, FILA or Last Waltz could have been such banger title tracks. I dunno what made JYPE team choose Scientist over these tracks
@@husnakipli609 Espresso is good but I don’t think so it’s tt worthy. Icon is iconic but the lyrics wouldn’t have worked with newer audiences that twice have been gaining rapidly. Maybe Icon as another promotional single can work
